Posted by toadwbg on Friday, February 7, 2003 1:46 PM
Back way back about 10 years ago I know FSM had a nice article on building shielves for displaying one's models. I'm ready to build something but need plans. Can anyone reccomend something?

Plans for easy-to-make shelves

Besides ordering a back issue, how do I get a copy of this?

If you hurry and check eBay, some guy is starting the bids for a complete set of the 1990 issues for $5.00.! I say hurry only because this auction ends on Feb 11. Other sellers are hawking individual issues. Just do a search from the eBay home page for "FineScale Modeler".
Good luck!

Hi all,

While my room (sleepout) was being built into the end of our 4-car garage, I made a request to my uncle (the builder). The request was that he built a wardrobe in the middle of the side opposite to the ranch slide - and on each side was 4 shelves making up an entire wall. The shelves had a bench on each side, then 3 shelves on each side, enormous ones: about 40cm deep, and about 1 metre long each side of the wardrobe. Perfect for 1:48 scale ww2 fighters!
Plus I have a further bookshelf which is fully packed as well, with books and what have you on the bottom shelf.
The unit is all painted to match the wall colour, not that you can see much of the walls!
