Mike Fameli

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

AMT/Ertl’s 1/25 scale Ford Louisville short hauler came to grief in Mike’s diorama, its scale height apparently exceeding 12.5 feet. He scratchbuilt the base and abutments from cardboard and Styrofoam, and planted “craft store grass” around a model railroad trestle. He painted the truck with Testors Ford engine blue and added to its distress with weathering powders. It features flashing lights and added engine detail under the (now) open hood. “The idea for this model came from a co-worker who was watching YouTube videos of trucks smashing under bridges,” Mike says. He didn’t mention where he works.
