I'm just blown away by what you've done so far. You got some mad skills my friend. I'll pay more attention to this now that I've noticed it. Can't believe I let this epic build slip past me.

Thank you. I'm just a slow worker . With life and work . You know what I mean

Being slow means little more added to the build

No modeling at this moment.

But my air compressor I built locked up . I used the wrong compressor for this type of app .

So I made a video about my second and better air compressor set .This set up is very nice ,,

Enjoy my video

Thank you

My only issue is the orange brown color ( i could not get that color ) . I know its not correct , but good enough for me .

Enjoy

Another thing though is that the color can vary across the body too, so if you don't really have a uniform color, it doesn't matter.  Some areas can be pretty brownm some pretty tan, and some pretty orange.  And the two engines don't have to match either.  So you're safe with whatever happens!

Ok I have applied some White Mulliput . i need to make this brass looking color dome . I guess this would be some kind on inlet air intake .

Maybe someone will let me know

Enjoy

Rick

Rick,

I think you are referring to the large orange-ish part which is the inlet.  If it's anything like the H-60, up close it looks like paper mache gauze with a cross-hatched type of pattern in it.  The color is like a brownish orange with a tan-type color in some areas.  I would just mix a couple drops of brown with some orange and base coat it, then drybrush a light tan or sand color to almost a tamiya desert yellow type of shade.  Something along those lines.  If the texture from your milliput is rough, that's ok, as the exterior is like pretty rough on the real thing.  That said, I'm going off what I know and I don't have experience with 53's, but they are both made by Sikorsky.

Everything to this point looks awesome, I am definitely going to save this thread for when I get around to the one I have in the stash!
