Aftermarket M60?
Posted by GlennH on Monday, August 12, 2024 1:38 PM

Does anyone offer a 1/48 M60 with mount for a door gun? I'd like to build a Huey that looks closer to what we used for insertions and the closest I see now is the Italeri UH 1D. All the others seem to be gunships and I'm not interested in that and can't even say I ever saw one. Cobra's were used for that primarily. The only armament I'm interested in is the M60 door gun.

I should have bought that Kitty Hawk kit when it was out I guess.

Still hoping someone starts a build of one of the Tarhes to follow.

Res-Kit makes the guns and the mounts in 1/48.

Thay are available at eBay.

Thank you! That never showed up in my searches. I'll look for that build of yours on the forum.

Helpful and thanks. I'll have to look for better pictures of how that thing was mounted. My slide scans are too small to see the details as far as how the mount hooked to the helicopter body. The only decent pic I have was only of the M60 from inside. I did order it from your link and will be the first time I have ever used a resin part.
