Trey,

In searching for something else in my FSM back issues, I found a small photo of a sand and brown Phrog and the camo scheme with FS paint numbers. The issue is from 1992; if you'd like I can send you a copy!

The squadron the had the desert color (sand and brown) was HMM-161. You can find a few pictures on the net by using "HMM-161" in your search.

If you need more pictures leave your email address here and I'll send you some.

No decals that I know of but since it's just numbers, letters, and the national insignia you could tape of the markings and airbrush them or get the "Longbeach" font from tlai.com and print your own.

I have not seen any Phrogs in desert camo, just in the green/grey and overall low viz grey; being that I have pics of CH-53s, AH-1Ws and UH-1Ns in desert colors I would think some '46s would have worn desert colors.

Does anyone know of any photo references of Desert camo adorned Marine CH-46's from Desert Storm, (like the CH-53 of an earlier post)? Also, are there any Phrog decals around other than the SuperScale sheets for the flashy Garrison SAR airframes?
