Looks awesome Guy! I love the paint job, the weathering, and the added PE. Makes it look that much better. Thumbs Up [tup]

Yet another awesome build there Guy and one of my favorite planes too! The detail in the bomb area is stunning. is that camo free-hand or did you use masks? I like the SM 79 so much because of the mutiple choices of camo. I do not think I have seen the same one build twice. I have both the Classic Airframes and the Trumpeter 1/48 kits in my stash. After seeing your beautifull build it makes me want to push them up a bit on the build scedule. I know it is already painted but i was going to vote for this one.

Guy-

I'm speechless!!!  This is one of the finest Italian aircraft I have ever laid eyes on.  Love the mottle paint job, absolutely stunning.  Can't believe the amount of detail you incorporated into this build, and still managed to finish it in record time.  It would take me a year to attempt this!  Wouldn't look as good as yours either.  Overall presentation is immaculate.  Well done Guy, be sure to congratulate your elves. Holy Schmokes, Guy! You really nailed the mottle! THat is one tremendous paint job.

Ditto what Frank said: It would take me forever and then some to built what you've accomplished!

That's a gorgeous build, Guy.  Just stunning work.  I'm amazed at how quickly you cranked that one out considering how much detail you packed in there, too! Bow [bow]

Very Nice !!!  I built the 48th scale Classic Airframes version and your 72nd build is just as detailed!

Wow, You guys are just too kind, Ive been busy since i finished this and not checked any replys. Im blown away.

Roy, thx mate. The weathering was faded top colours on the top and Promodeller on the undersides.

Warhammer, Thx, the PE set for this kit is geared towards the torpedo bomber so i didnt use as much as was there cos this one was to be a bomber. Hence the oil barrels LOL.

Aaron, thx buddy.

Crusher, Thx mate, the camo was all done freehand (My arm still aches). I wanted to do the grey fronted beast but that was a torp bomber. Maybe for my next one. I heard the rumpy 1/48 is a goodun. mmmmm. We'll have to get an Italian GB going for sure.

John, Donald, Too kind, much too kind.

Jeremias, Id look forward to seeing what you could do with an SM 79, if your Argy stuff is any thing to go by. Maybe if this Italian GB takes off ever, tat could be your chance.

Frank, Your Highness Bow [bow], Mike, Manny, Your all too kind. Its great comments from all your ilk that makes me strive too improve.

Cheers guys.

Just noticed this... and it look great! I love the bronze cowl rings and red spinners with the mottle camo, it has just the right amount of contrast and visual interest. Nice choice. Thumbs Up [tup]

This build would've taken me a year, if I could've finished it at all. You've done a great job!
