Got one of these painted up (the other is waiting on a nose cone and canopy...will go back to the stash and come back out when I break into an F-100).

Paints are the usual MM enamels...all of them are mixes. I was out of Camoflage grey for the belly...I have never found the "proper" tan...and I don't like the looks of MM's greens for SEA. The lighter green is RLM82 with some tan, while the darker green is the "proper" color, I mixed in some OD, black and tan.

Pitot tube is scratched from aluminum tubing...kit part is stupid fat.

That camo is fantastic.

Huh?Is this done yet?

Yes....

I mean...NO.

Decals in place.

I skipped a lot/most of the stencils, as they are pretty bold and distracting.

EEEESH...the color variation in the darker green areas is way exaggerated in the pic...it is not that drastic in person. Weird!

Looks good!  I'm guessing the colors darkened as a result of thecgloss and will probably tone down once you flatten everything...Im wild about your weasel...

Wheres the 'hurt' this thing is gonna be carrying???

Yeah, the gloss changes things a little..plus the lighting is different. Cameras can do things that the eye can not!

The HURT...well, that's still in the packages. Will be taking care of that soon enough!

DONE!!!

And...an outside shot, natural light....not much sun out there today.

As mentioned before...the other is packed up and back in the stash, waiting for some parts. It'll probably come back out with an F-100...whenever the gumption strikes. I'm a bit 105'ed out.

Very nicely done. You're SEA schemes are some of the best I've seen in scale.  Couple of questions:  what's up w the NMF section of that drop-tank, and how did you make those boarding ladders?

Thank you!

The ladders are Eduard PE. As for the drop tank...I saw one like that in the F-105 "Walk Around" book. I like it...something a little different.

I believe this bird is one of the markings options in the kit but unfortunately they got the tail codes wrong so it ruined that particular scheme...

Wondeful effort on the 105 Fermis. Your detailing is mighty impressive. I really like how your camo scheme came out. Quite realistic. Thank you for yet another choice build.

Another beautiful job, man you make it look easy!

Only thing I'd add is maybe a simple base and a teeny pilot and RIO standing by the ladder to show how big a monster the F-105 was?

Nothing quite like the unique airframe of a 105.

Really nice job on that one Fermi.  The weathering and washes are great.  It's the whole package !
