I painted the exhausts rust, and dry brushed with brown to vary the appearance a bit.  After a dull coat, I weathered them with brown pastels.  I also hollowed out the ends with an 11 blade.  I used the October (at least I think it was October) 2010 issue of FSM as a guide on how to paint it.

Thanks for the paint references and I will be digging out the 2010 issues to find the October one!  Thank you!

I'm sure if we did as a Tribute Build to HVH, naming Stik as Honorary, Temporay Dom until such time the Original Revellogram Dom , reappears, comes out of Witness Protection, or his demise is confirmed,,,that most Revellogram Deciples would be ok with this.. I would.

Dom Stik, allow me to be the first to congratulate you upon taking over the "business".  I'm sure certain changes will be coming... and if some members just happen to decide to... *cough*... entertain thoughts of opposing this change in position... well, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas... if you get my drift.

Congrats Dom Stik!  Being as my family has been Monogram/Revell followers since way back in the day (and actually being Sicilian!), you have my unwavering devotion to the "business".  And like GAF said, any opposition will be taken care of.  Cool  So...(as we all stand around the big desk you are sitting at)...what can we do for you Dom? Wink

P.S.  I'm taking a break from building my MONOGRAM STUKA Ju87D to write this...just sayin'!

Seriously, there are some great builds here!  I do really like the Mono/Revell kits.  I guess it is the nostalgia thing, but they are good kits.

Hey Baron, sorry I missed your post last week. Thanks and I've built the old Monogram P-47D and the ProModeler kit is completely new. No parts in common at all. I have no idea if it shares any parts with a Revell kit though. The P-47N has all recessed panel lines and generally resembles a new run kit.

And congrads SP on your new 'promotion' - with the Tamiygawa Yakuza and the Trumpeteer Tong around you might want to have someone else start your car for you before you leave the building - if ya know what I mean?

Too shiny, but I wasn't that into weathering then.  Drilled out all of the dive brake holes and added some flap reinforcing.

I may get so drunk, I have to crawl home. But dammit, I'll crawl like a Marine.

Secret handshake- the little ring and middle fingers form a M while the thumb and forefinger form a R while grasping... Oops, now it's not secret anymore! ;-)

Guys, I am getting lots of chuckles from the past couple of pages here.

Ok, who is up for MM pt.3 starting early to mid July?

Built this for the local VFW in Fallon, NV about 10+ years ago. I was a replacement for a Memphis Belle that had come to a fatal end while someone was cleaning. Yes, I know its a -G model. But they wanted another Belle and at the time I couldn't find a 1/48 -F kit for any amount of money. The kit came from my stash and I did it up over the 30 days leave before going back to Japan.
