Let's see........a MM GB?  I don't know Huh?

ABSOLUTELY YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

Heck, I'll put on hold or push back some of my other GB's for an MM GB!

To be an official MM card carrying, GB badge having member....yous just tell me what you want boss...consider it a done deal!  So forget about it!  Cool

So, let's see, after a brief look at my stash list (and it has been a few months since I updated it) I have roughly 410 kits...give or take 5 or so.  Embarrassed  Out of that number, 62 are Monogram kits and 59 are Revell.  That does not include the 3 Monogram and 3 Revell kits in my to trade box!  And I did not include the Revell of Germany kits.  I'm thinking the hardest part of this GB will be figuring out which kit to build!  What a great predicament to have!  Wink

Count me in boss!

So what does the MM stand for? It's been awhile since I frequented these boards so often. I figure one M is for Monogram.... I'll have to look in my stash to see if I have any Revell or Monogram models I can build for this.

For those wondering why I wouldn't have any Revell or Monogram models in the stash it's because I built oh so many of them as a kid. With over eleven hundred models completed; I've quite run out of any new models I could build....Embarrassed

I'll dig around though; there may be something hidden somewhere that qualifies....

LOL!  O.K., what I'm trying to say is.....Smile

It stands for Monogram Mafia.  I'm not sure how far back it goes, it was in full swing when I joined up.  It's creator has gone missing, but he was THE biggest proponent for Monogram/Revell kits.  Did some awesome builds with them.

How many builds under your belt?!  Good night!  So you have seen a few Mono/Revell kits in your adventures?

Depending on the end date, I could fit a Revellogram kit in...but hard to make a decision as to which one...

Well the basic premise in the last two has been to build two R/M kits within a 6 month time period. Or was it 9 month? I have to go back and look. That will not change. Any genre. My only change will be it will include up to the latest  R/M kits such as the Stearman or Ventura. But the blooline must remain pure, the molds must originate with R/M. Promodeler re boxes of kits from the Far East are not eligible to be made for new guys- unless one has already been MM in pt.I or II. Capiche?

Okay, I kinda thought that's what it was. I do remember seeing one of these MM Group Builds start up, but it was just a little before I stopped posting here some time back. I re-started here again because of our current Don the Stik. He had an offer I couldn't refuse.

And yes, I think I've built almost every 1/72 scale Revell and Monogram kit back when I was a kid. I think I still have a 1/72 scale A-6 Intruder  in the stash somewhere from that old Revell four-kit Desert Storm issue that still needs to be built. This might be the thing to get that done...... provided I can find it again in my stash!

That is some feat for sure!  How big is your stash?  If you've done that many, I'm sure you have the stash from *ell! I just past 400 thanks to a series of estate sales I couldn't say no to!  Embarrassed

I'm new to the Forum, but not new to the Hobby. Here's my 1:48 Revell B-58A Hustler I finished last week. First attempt with Metallizer and airbrush panel shading. Every model is an experiment, you know?

My stash is somewhere between 250-300 models actually. I build them too quickly to really amass a large stash. I think I average about 8 completed models for every one I buy. It's slowly going down...

He is just the opposite of me. I started cataloging my stash on another site, and just my armor & ship kitsis well over 200. I have not even started aircraft or figures. And then of course my slow build pace which has me completing kits in reduced numbers. I try to average a one a month rate by years end, but that is a tough task due to some projects getting too dang involved. I really need to do  more OOB builds. Less AM and scratch work to alter that.

Where is the build??? Huh? I am so wanting to see it. That is one of my favorite bombers! it epitomizes the  Nuclear Bomber in my mind, like something out of a 50s sci fi  novel. Beautiful, sleek, and utterly deadly...

Count me in too!!  Looking forward to it!!  I've got a great number of Monogram kits that I've continued to squirrel away for years!!  I'm not sure how many kits I have in my stash.  I just know that I collect them a lot faster than I build them.  So hard to pass up a good deal on Ebay, swap meets, or a good sale.....Oh yeah, then there's the problem with the 'hot' new releases!!.......

Watching for the 'go date!'

You should have been at AMPS last night. Good auction- there was lots of Braille Scale stuff and your name was mentioned several times when it was up for sale.
