Messerschmitt Bf109 GB Feeler--Official GB thread now up

Really looking forward to it! Almost ready for paint on my current build (P51 Mustang). Would love to squeeze another in before the GB starts. Originally I said I wanted to do a "pain free" build for this GB but after all this inspiration I may try to up my game a little bit....sink or swim ooor maybe crash and burn  Time will tell!

As someone new to the forum and the hobby I know I've certainly already learned a lot from these 17+ pages and I think I should share it for all the other new guys...namely, you don't mess with these guys place of origin!!! Yikes!!! LOL

Don't listen to 'em Stang. I say Ya'll and am in Texas as well . I take a bit of time off between cattle drives and managing my chuck wagon business to gnash together some folksy wisdom on the bench. Yee Haw! Oh, and Orfy, it's some those Brits, Austrians and Germans on here you really gotta look out for!

Oh , They are serious Orfy. I've made that mistake. Even after changing my phone number and putting him on my "Do not call" list he still finds me and torments me with a never ending string of "Ya'lls" and "How 'bout them Cowboys". I'm currently attempting to enter into a witness protection program in an attempt to escape the horror.

First of all I do say "Ya'll" . Secondly I dont talk about the Cowboys. Thirdly you gotta watch these guys orfy. They are a little...........      . Just a word of caution.

Not sure about me yet,  still addicted to the 190's  I think I acquired 13 of them  during the build and built three no wait 4!  I'm not sure I have any 109's in my stash.   I  guess that means I should start collecting

OW... Welcome, and glad to have you aboard... I think you will find this lot an interesting and entertaining group of guys, and on occasion a lady or two, just have fun and feel free to ask questions or add to the mix, we all learn from each other, and I think you are going to find some very talented builders here.

On that note, may we ask a little about you and your modeling background just to get to know you a bit better? Not tryi g to be nosey, just so we can maybe make you feel more at home here.

As Steve says, you don't need to declare your markings. This is only the feeler, so for now you just need to say your interested in joining. Once the actual GB thread starts, the host will post a roster of thpose taking part and the kit they are building. The main thing for now is not to start building the kit until the GB starts, in this case jan.

I started a thread last year to help new members with GB's as many were asking, hopefully you might find it useful.

Yeah, that's pretty much it.  You don't even need to declare the markings,  just build OTB (out of the box) if you want. Just jump in and have fun.  No pressure to do great and wonderful things,  Just have fun.

Bish, Tom - yeah, I've read a lot of good stuff about the Revell kits, and since my scale of choice recently seems to be 1/32, it seems like a perfect it.  Tom, I'll be building the Black 13.  The 81/82/NMF colors really caught my eye.

Mike, looking forward to the Revell kit. Those RB PE sets certainly seem popular, I have not used them before but have the two for my F kit and looking forward to seeing how they come out.

Quite a setup, Mike. It will be nice to see someone do that kit. It does seem like it's very well done, from my first glances into the box. Which scheme will you be doing?
