First, Mike, thanks so much, I really appreciate that! That Hun is a favorite of mine too. It was given to me by the pilot who flew that particular plane in Vietnam, Maj. Don Schmenk, yes, with the decals for his bird. To me that was just so cool. And yes, Maj. Schmenk liked it too!
Gamera and Chris, thanks guys; sometimes I get lucky with both the models and the pictures.
Ken, much thanks, I think having the airport as a backdrop really aids in the illusion that those are actual planes. I feel lucky that I can go out there pretty much whenever I want for a photo session.
Ernie, man I love hearing those comments buddy! I have a bunch of other Monogram planes that will have their pictures made out there too. An F-16A, an Israeli F-15A, Mirage 2000 and a Mig-29 all need a turn, not to mention a Dauntless, Spitfire, Mustang and Apache helo as well. Ooops, forgot about my Me-262; it will get there eventually. I guess a Monogram "Airforce" part II is in order.
The RF-101B is just the Monogram kit, no conversion and done mostly OOB, with after-market decals for a 1/32 F-117. The Voodoo, or "101-wonder" is sort of a "what-if" exercise; I just dreamed up the all-black pseudo-Blackbird scheme. I think she looks good in black!
Again, thanks everybody...keep it coming!!
Gary
