Great GREAT build.  Nice work on the subtle weathering.  That's a perfect balance of grime, chipped paint, and panel shading without going to far.  Very convincing model.

How in the world did you treat the exhausts?

The first thing I do is apply putty diluted to give a rougher aspect to the pipes.

Paint them with XF-10 Tamiya and with black very dilute paint the outputs of pipes.

Use after MIG pigments Black Smoke and European Dust. A wash with a dark brown, in my case I used the Bitumen of Judea, and finally, at random, Light Dust.
