To Echolmberg,
First and foremost, your "The Monogram Mafia III Group Build" moniker is absolutely awesome. By the way, I see this term often. What is a group build?
I'm inspired to know and now understand the complexity of the old Monogram kits. My entire builds 40 years ago was nothing but Monogram and of Revell WWII Model Aircraft.
I want to build a Tamiya high end P-51 Kit, the one that includes photo-etch parts and pieces hence I'm going to hold off on the RM P-51. But I will take on the recommendation of a P-47 Thunderbolt/Razorback, as I've never ever built that particular model in neither the Monogram nor the Revell kits form. I've built only 2 modern jets in my life, an F4 Phantom and a Skyhawk. Both Monogram products, as you can now see, my passion is of nothing but WWII aircraft. Mind you, when in 1976 Star Wars, Battle Star Gallactica, and Buck Rodgers in the 21st. Century aired, I've built the X-Wing, C3-PO, and The Battle Star Gallactica Cruiser, fighters and the infamous Cylone attack ships. In essence, I just might revisit the idea and your valued recommendation of Eagle as a future build.
Yes, your list is invaluable and worth the effort and discipline in moving forward. I also would like to take this moment and thank you for your time in reading and replying on my thread, this means a great deal to me as I'm overjoyed by all forum members responses. At the very least, I now get to be thrown in a tank of guppies instead of sharks, thanks to you!
