Very exciting following along on this build!

Looks like the sub-sections (engines, etc.) are little models in and of themselves. I trust they give you some sense of satisfaction as each are put together whether or not they'll ever be seen. They ought to - you're doing a very good job on all you've shown so far.

I was not really prepared to assemble the engines and attach the engines to the nacelles.  It took me a day to figure it out in steps.

As you mentioned, the sub assemblies can be very satisfying and it also keeps me thinking about the next steps.  Believe me or not, I still am not done with the engines assemblies.   There are several pieces that need to be painted and glued.

What's great about this kit is that Tamiya really engineered this model superbly.  The entire engine will be displayed through the clear cowling of which are attached with magnets.  And you know me, I'll leave everything off to display the nacelles.

Thank you 1943Mike for your very kind words and support in my Mosquito build.  I highly appreciate that as well as your visit with me!  It brings me great joy to be able to share my builds in steps on this thread.

I'm so glad you are choosing to display those Merlins. That detail is phenominal. I hope you are still considering the Ki-61Id I recommended as it is just as much of an extreme pleasure to build. Although its only 1/48 its just as wonderful as this kit.

Keep up the wonderful progress my friend. You are doing a splendid job of this build!  :D

Thank you M.Brindos.  Yes, to not to display them would be a travesty.  I totally forgot about that kit.  Thank you for reminding me.  I'll look into it on eBay.

Thank you for supporting my Mosquito build as well as the read and replies.

Thank you Uncle Jay Jay.  The engines took as long as the cockpit to assemble.  It's like a mini kit in itself.  The engines were painted with Model Master Enamel Flat Black.  Then brushed with Tamiya Weatherine Silver.

Thank's for the visit and being such a great support.  I highly appreciate it.

It took me most of the day getting the wing root assembled and painted plus, the right wing undersurface.  Check out the chrome light!

Painted the chrome light with Model Master Enamel Chrome Silver 1790.  Also installed the PE radiator and MG1 Magnets.
