Hi,

Your build is looking great.  I know that in the past I have bought some models just to get a rough idea of how the full scale "prototype" actually looked or was configured, but the level of detail in this model is astounding and really helps show so much of the details of how the plane was actually laid out, that I am astounded.

Can't wait to see your finished build.

Yes, it is definitely intricate and one that is difficult to assemble.  I had a hard time dealing with the so called tracks/wheel assembly as it needs to line up at exactly a center point or nothing fits.  Plus the wheel has a compression indentation already built in so everything needs to line up with that as the key factor.

I too have never seen anything nor built anything this complex as this before.  I noticed that every section of the assembly build is a kit in of itself. That's what makes this build difficult yet very fun to do.  The next step is to glue the nacelles to the wings then the wings to the fuselage but it's not that simple as there's a lot of detail factors that go into it.  I'll keep everyone up to date in detail.

Thanks for stopping by!

Toshi

P.S. I have the Tamiya 1/48 Hien saved for me on eBay.  Thank you for the tip!

Happy anniversary. We have our 23rd coming up in a couple weeks. I need to get one of these kits, it looks like a winner! I'm in the final steps of my ME 410 for the multi-engine build. Mike.

Thank's mawright20.  Thank you so much for the congratulations.  Mrs. Toshi and I highly appreciate it!

Yes, this is a great kit to obtain and build.  It's Tamiya's flagship kit.  Please posts your builds as I'm interested in seeing them as well as the many members here.  Thank's for stopping by!

Before Mrs. Toshi and I went to a Steakhouse, she asked if we could go to Hobby Lobby.  I thought we were going for some arts and crafts for her.

Before I know it.  She's at the register paying for what you see below.  I was blown away with my twenty fifth anniversary gift.

Of course I took it home and took it apart to see it's innards.  LOL!  I was excited!  I did get Mrs. Toshi a Michael Kors bag as a gift which she is using while I write this.

Here is my brand new Iwata Eclipse.

Thank you sir!  I too have purchased kits to see how the full scale "Prototype" would or might look like, but you are correct sir in that the level of this kits engineering is astounding.  I've never built anything like this before so this is new to me as well.  Thank you for your interest in my build as well as the read and replies!

Toshi,

First - Happy Anniversary! (My two marriages lasted 3.5 and 8 years respectively. I must be hard to live with Big Smile).

Second, You're doing me no favors by posting this WIP. I have sworn to never get a 1/32 or larger aircraft kit since I neither have the room to display it nor, do I believe, the patience to build it. Your method of showing the instructions along with your progress is mesmerizing and is tugging at me to find a 1/32 kit. Shame on you Wink.

Third, your build is progressing so well and your demostrated skills are so apparent that I must simply thank you for all the enjoyment I reap from watching your progress.

This kit is amazing, and you are doing a fantastic job on it!  Every part of this kit is surprisingly detailed.  Congrats on the anniversary.  My wife and I will be married 24 years next week.  She is a peach, and so, apparently, is Mrs. Toshi.

Never seen anything like it, where even the tire tread is more than half a dozen pieces.

First, thank you so much for being such a good friend. This is hard to find in ones life!  You've followed my builds from the beginning, when you started I was a novice at best.

Second, I only posts my WIP for the benift of both of Forum members and myself as we can only both learn from each other.

Third and foremost, I've been having the best time of my life!  The meaning of life is very simple, to live it.  And everyone here has showed me how to and I thank you for that!

yes, I must agree with you in that this kit is amazing.  Tamiya engineered this kit with superb execution and finesse.  Congratulations on your twenty fourth next week, as good peaches are hard to find!
