Finally! You'll be busy for a while from the looks of it. The magazine that you have is well worth it, if you prefer, Pocketmags and the Airfix apps have it available for iPad, which is what I use, as it's hard to carry so many modeling magazines with me when I'm at work.

I just purchased the Tamiya 1/48 Mk. VI, so we are working on the same projects. Looking forward to seeing yours.

Yes, this kit will definitely keep me busy for several months.  I'll take a look at the apps available for iPad.  Mrs. Toshi just purchased for me a iPad 2 mini.  This works so great compared to my original iPad 1.

That is very exciting that we're both working on the same projects.  I know your build will be much better than mines in quality and craftsmanship.  Thank you 7474 for your support in my project!

I'm sorry to hear of the mishap of the hair cutting clippers.  Maybe another day.  You and your friend have great taste in music!  As for going over this entire thread, I want to thank you so very much not only for this but the support and well wishes.  You are a fantastic forum member and a friend!

Toshi

P.S.  This is a huge aircraft build.  I'll be hanging this on the wall.  Thank you for following my thread.

Uh Oh!  A correction is needed.  This is interesting.

I would mark the original instruction sheet (in the step where the error is) "Refer to 'CORRECTION" sheet" in red ink, and on the correction sheet "Follow these instructions" or something akin to that, again in red ink.

It's what I do, especially with instruction sheets that are just drawings with no written instructions, and also because I'm always having to add detail or something. So I take notes on my instructions with different-colored ink. Black is for general construction, blue ink is for painting notes (especially since so many of today's instructions show simply "A" for what color to paint the part, so you have to keep referring to the chart--"Okay, A is gloss aircraft gray"). And red means, "Be careful here!"

Hope you feel better!

Thank you for the heads up and your directions in keeping things in order.

I was actually going to ask you earlier A: how many parts were in the kit, and B: what the wingspan of that "puppy" will be when you build it. But a friend of mine had come over to cut my hair (as it turned out, his clippers refused to work, so we ended up listening to an old Simon and Garfunkel album instead), and after he left, it was time for lunch. After lunch, I was able to read through the entire thread and look at the kit-box picture and learned how large this thing will be. Too large for this small apartment, so I'll have to be a spectator while I watch you build it.

As always, best wishes to you and your health!

Happy to see your gem Mossy has arrived. I hope you revel in ever delicious moment of construction and finishing. By watching your spectacular WIP pix I'm sure you will post, I too may be swayed to purchase a good looking kit. Robiwon has me looking for the B.A. Zevezda Star Destroyer. Have fun good sir.

I was thinking I'd comment when I'd read everything in the thread but haven't had time so I'm just going to comment anyway! Looks cool Toshi, seems like it will be a fun build- good luck with her!

The difference here is that one set of propellers are rounded while the other set is pointed.  One set is a later version.  Which one should I choose, decisions decisions!  LOL!

This set of sprue contains the fueselage.  I freaked out when I saw there were no lines.  I thought I have to scribe them in.  I realized that this thing was made out of wood.  So I researched this kit and found out this is how it's supposed to be via several reviewers.

Griffin25

The magazine is for Tamiya kit as well.

Oh, very cool sir!  I'll paste and post this photo of the magazine via text to Mrs. Toshi.  She said she'll go to Borders.  Thank you Griffin25 for your help on my build, it's greatly appreciated!
