I am attaching some pics of the Mosquito my then 7 y.o. son and I did @ a year ago. He did most of the work himself. I helped with the decals, invasion stripes and (attempted to) canopy. He's finishing an F-14 and then has a P-61 next in line.
Toshi: Looking at the cockpit, I noticed the tool near the nose. Being a flight Navigator myself, it appears to be a drfit meter. Prior to modern doppler/etc systems, it allows the Nav to view the aircraft ground track. This data, along with the calculated airspeed and couse allow them to find the flight winds affect on the course and correct accordingly. I collect aircraft instruments and recently saw one in a collection shop. Th seller wanted quite a bit more than I was willing to part with. Looking forward to seeing how your Skeeter turns out.
