Nice job especially impressive since it's hand painted. This one's on my bucket list.
I'm finally retired. Now time I got, money I don't.
Turned out great, Piper. To be honest, I kind of miss the days of hand painting. Camoflauging took some creativity. Must be my inner child. With ABing, masks, future, washes, etc.....it's more of a process. Still fun, just different I guess.

Looks good, Piper! I bet you're happy to have that one on display. :)

A lot !! And I mean A LOT!!
2024 Kits on deck / in process / completed
14 / 5 / 2
Its finished! A very nice kit most of the problems I mentioned were because of me and not really the kit. I didn't put a fair amount of the small decals on mostly because my eyes and fingers don't like them lol.
Thanks guys that means a lot!
I started adding decals as I could today when my daughter would allow me to lol. My biggest problem was the mouths I didn't realize they weren't connected so it was a surprise when I went to slide the first one on and the top and bottom went separate ways ugh. I repaired it ok but the other side went way out of wack, I think I got it so it's hard to tell, I'll include a picture of it next time.
I second Uncle Jay Jay! Looks like you AB the kit. What a great job you've done. Looking great!

Jay Jay Man you are an expert at hand brush painting. Looks like an air brush job to me. WELL DONE Mate.

Thank you :)
Canopy is on, I think so far the only complaint I have is that it seems the clear parts are too light/thin but most of that may be that I'm a klutz lol I'm hoping to get the decals on today.
The filler caps can either be red or black for the fuel cap and yellow or aluminum for the glycol cap. For the AVG I have seen combinations of those. For a regular -B/C they were black and aluminum.
Thanks, I keep thinking of going with an airbrush but can't really afford that right now and hand painting is really enjoyable to me.
So I'm going to try and be lazy lol I know I've seen in other P40 WIPs about the color of the filler caps behind the pit, whats the colors for the AVG model?
Still looking pretty good, Piper. Not bad at all for hand painting. :)
Final coat of dark green on, I used MM.
iampiper13 M. Brindos If you don't have any Micro Set and Sol you should add those to your future aquisitions list. They help a lot! MicroSet Setting Solution?

Cone is painted with adjusted paint, better? And thanks for your help!
How's this look for light earth?
Bottom is painted, I used MM camouflage grey rattle can. I did mix up some light earth and used it for the prop covers I'll get a picture of that when it dries.
