M. Brindos, Thanks for the tip. I'm not quite up to airbrushing yet so would I put the grey over the black?

How did you mask the air-brake and wheel wells?

Nope. It doesn't have to be a primer. You can even preshade with black and light grey and get the effect to show through the silver if you go light enough.

But the more shiny your base black, the shinier the silver will be.

Does it have to be a primer?

Spray it over a gloss black finish and you'll love the results. I can tell you that much. Lol

So... you're first post on this build was on June 6, and the pics you posted of this beautiful plane out in the sunshine was on June 9?

Bow Down   You're amazing!  Great job.

Cheers, Mark

Thanks scottrc, and ManCityFan!  Things will be slowing down now that the weather is finally nice.  I'll still work on stuff on rainy days though!

Not sure how I missed this being finished.  I was following.  Maybe it's because you get them done so quickly!  The decal work is stunning, especially considering how many there were.  Absolutely fantastic.  Congrats on another great build!

Last time I was here, you finished the Tomcat, now you just finished an F86 with metalizers.  Wow!  You make this hobby look fun with your consistancy and accuracy.

Keyda, you are building up lots of experience quickly . You had your F-86 completed before I realized you were building it. Another good job!

Keyda,

Really awesome Sabre Dog and what a job on all of those little decals.  I'll second the motion that you should enter that one in a contest, it came out great.  Your work has been really inspiring and keeps getting better and better.  Bow Down

Thank you damouav! Big Smile Model Master Metalizer "Aluminum Plate" in the spray can.

Thanks PFJN!

Thank you Mike!  I know, didn't take me long at all.  What can I say it was mostly in the kit, it went together trouble free.  I think it took me longer to do decals than anything else!

Whut?! Done already???

Looks like the metalizers worked well enough! I just picked up some Vallejo metal aluminum. I hear it works about the same. I'll consider myself lucky if I can get similar results as yours.

Nicely done.  :)

Thanks modelcrazy, I think I will do that next time Noreastcon comes around.

Thank you 1943Mike!

Thanks plasticjunkie!

Few on display pics.  I'm sure that spot next to it on the shelf won't be empty very long!  Not sure if I'm going to do the Sabre Jet next or not.  I really am running out of room!

Fantastic Keyda, you should take that one to a show.

Glued on the last of the fiddly bits, and I call them that because 1 I'm not entirely sure the name of some of these parts, and 2 because I'm really good at fiddling, and fumbling said parts, lol.  Did some paint touch ups, and now I'm calling it done!

Took it outside for some pics.

Now I just need to find somehwere to put it!  I don't want to hang this one by the tail.  Maybe I'll have to find a spot for a small shelf, for it and the Sabre Jet when I do that one, lol.
