Theuns

Then the pix comes up with a highlited blue code on the bottom. Usually on PB I clicked this and it was then coppied. If I do the same on this the blue goes away, the code stays but nothing gets coppied.

I dont get a "BBcode"  or copy image adress prompt.

Will have to look for somthing else it seems

It's different than PB. I figured it out (Thank you Fermis).  Do as you did bit when you reach the blue link, paste it to FSM typing field. Make sure BB code is highlighted above the link

Here's were it gets tricky. Find the "http" link embedded in there, between the two [img] then highlight and copy that only. Go to top bar and hit the picture icon and insert as normal. The picture will show up in the FSM field. You'll gave to go back and delete the other words from the link.

Annoying but certainly worth the aggravation to spite Photobucket.

I understand all good things must end, but $399 a year? A little too rich for my blood. I see they are now holding all my photos ransom now too. No thanks......enjoy holding them, as I have more. I suppose now is as good a time as any to start my own modeling blog.

I'll give Fermis' and Brandon's Flickr tutorial a try. I've downloaded my latest work there. .

I must be really slow as I cant win this damn thing.

I select a pic and click on the arrow indicating share. Then the pix comes up with a highlited blue code on the bottom. Usually on PB I clicked this and it was then coppied. If I do the same on this the blue goes away, the code stays but nothing gets coppied.

Not sure what you are doing with Flickr, but it's all I use now. First I click the arrows in the upper right corner of the pic I wish to use. This expands it. I then right click the image, "copy image address", and then paste that into FSM. Your method seems far to complex for what is needed.

Alright...I did some more "testing".

1. "Copied" BBCode

2. "Pasted" into "source"

3. Start at the end of the code, left click (to highlight), slide back to, and include "[/img]"

4. Repeat starting at and including "[img]" highlight and delete everything to the front of that. (you'll probably have to "highlight" again, while sliding to the left to be able to get to the "[img]"...just left click again to unhighlight)

That's just as odd as hell.....all my posts with pics on FSM using PB are just fine.

What's up with that?

They just haven't gotten to you yet. Give it time.

Not sure why those of you who are using the Google posting have your images show up one day, but are not here the next. But there are no images today. :/

Theuns, yours is showing up just fine.

Weird...I'm not seeing Theuns pics...just..

Lemme try something easier!...

  " alt="" />

...nope...

So...the only way I can make it work is to "copy/paste" the whole BBCode where I want the pic...highlight and "copy" just what is between [img] and paste it into "source".

Theuns

Ok so clearly flickr I cant operate, how do I get the code to put onto FSM?

Theuns

Took me a few minutes and some bad words...but....

When you have your pic picked out...click on "share" (arrow icon)...

You'll get the popup window with..."share...embed...email...BBCode"

Click on "BBCode"...the url will be hilighted..."copy"

EDIT....

After you "copy" the BBCode..."paste" it where you're typing...then "copy" everything between the [img]'s...then click the insert photo icon above, "paste".

For some reason, Flickr won't allow you to just "copy" the needed part of the code, I can only get the whole thing, which will post the photo when put into the "insert photo" window here.

Finally figured Google Photos out.... took me 2+ hrs  Angry

If you go to GOOGLE DRIVE there is a GOOGLE PHOTOS tab that lets you access your pictures and generate the shareable URL link. That is the one that does NOT work for me, kept getting that little box..

However, if you go yo GOOGLE PHOTOS directly (photos.google.com) you basically see the same pics, etc. BUT now you can click one the picture to open it, then RIGHT click and you get the Holy Grail choice of "COPY IMAGE ADDRESS"

Then you can CTRL-V (paste) that into the INSERT IMAGE button above and...

In Google Photos you can set up albums, but I do not think you can do sub-albums like in PB.

I take a pic with my cell phone, which is automatically "seen" by the Google Photos app. I then open the app in my phone and you add the new pics to an existing album or create a new album.

If you have a GMAIL email account (free), you can also have the pics automatically backed up to your Google drive (cloud). You can then access and/or download the pics into your PC if you want to work at your computer. If you right click on the image (in your Google drive), you can click on "shareable link", which generates a link that is automatiicaly copied into the clipboard.

 pic

and I *think* it works...

PS - Ugh, seems I cannot get the link to work!

I got signed up on Flickr...found an app to upload from my phone/cam. Been trying to post pics, without success. So far, I'm not thrilled with the layout of the site.

What I did like about P/B...was being able to create an album, with sub-albums.

For example...I'd have "2017 builds"...this album would have a single finish pic of each model I built for 2017. Then I'd have sub-albums for "Jets", "Props", "Choppers", "Review builds", "Misc".

Do any of these other hosting sites have a similar setup??? AND an app to upload from my phone?

could not be more simple to use :-)

This little kit is actuaslly a PITA to build, the fit is dodgy and detail spartan but it can be overcome with some work.

TEST_

AH. ok. I found we actually had google  photos on this laptop and this is the test. I just imported the file from my harddrive, then I right clicked and it gave me a "copy image", clicked on that and pasted here. Seems way easeire than PB even I can use it LOL

I have opened a Google Photos account. Like it.  Easy sign in and uploading.

I had trouble at first finding the right url (address).  I had first tried to just copy the URL in my browser's address window when I select a particular photo (the large image).  That did not work.  Then, I tried right-clicking on the image.  One of the options is copy image location.  I did that and pasted into the address window that comes up when you select the image button during preparing a post.  Works fine.

I use Flickr as I too don't care for PB anymore. I really don't have any issues with it. It works fine for my needs.
