To my fellow FSM forum members,
This Me Bf 109 G-6 was my Valentines gift from Mrs. Toshi. Mrs. Toshi got my Tamiya 1/48 Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien (Tony). She liked the mottle paint scheme so much she actually asked for it. It’ll sit on her computer desk.
I also purchased for her an LG Bluetooth ear phones. She’s been buying these cheap five to ten dollar earbuds which were Chinese knock offs. Of course they all broke in a week! On top of that they sounded terrible. I told her she needs to invest anywhere from seventy five dollars to one hundred fifty dollars for an excellent pair of earbuds that are Bluetooth. So I went out and got her some. She enjoys listening to music in bed to fall asleep.
Now onto my Valentines gift! This kit has approximately two hundred seventy five pieces all in gray. Which is not a bad thing at all. The paint scheme that I’ll choose will require three different colors plus all the mottle I can do. After my Ki-61, I’ve learned several things that I can carry over to the Me Bf 109 G-6. from this point I’ll let the pictures tell a thousand words! I really appreciate all of your support and read and replies. This has helped me so much in that I’m forever indebted to you all.
Your friend, Toshi
The kit came from an eBay Seller still in it‘s Original Plastic type shrink wrap. When I purchase kits via eBay, they’re usually opened, oh well, this is a great change of pace.
On The Bench: Revell 1/48 B-25 Mitchell
Married to the most caring, loving, understanding, and beautiful wife in the world. Mrs. Toshi
Nicely done recessed panel lines and rivets.
Awesome detailing on the fuselage plus it looks like to me there could be open cowlings to view the engines.
Very well detailed for a kit at this price point of thirty five dollars with free shipping.
I love it when a company like Trumpeter takes extra care and wrap their clear canopy parts in tissue. Plus there’s my favorite thing to work with!!! PE. Yeah!
Front page of their assembly book.
Here are the different types of Me Bf 109’s you can build. There’s one caveat that I had with my last build was that Tamiya did not include a colorized aircraft sheet where Trumpeter does. It’s the little things that we as modelers can appreciate!
And finally the decals.

Stepping up to a bigger scale! I've never done anything larger than 1/48 for aircraft. Looks like a fun project - and what a great Valentine you have there. I'll be watching Toshi.
Thanks,
John
