Awesome jug LD! Beautiful work! Well done man.

One observation - If I am not mistaken the prop cuffs were made of rubber so there wouldn't be chipping and bare metal on them. I might be wrong, but I came to know about this because I made this mistake on my P51 which I am working on and had to correct it.

Best,

Nikola

Interesting.  So far I've had no luck confirming this, not to say it's not accurate info.  It certainly would make sense.  I know the P-51 used a cuffed Hamilton Standard and the P-47's cuffed props (symmetrical/asymmetrical) were by Curtiss Electric.  Not sure if that matters.  Perhaps in the future I'll refrain from chipping this area.  Thanks for the input.

Great build all around. I'm with you, the Tamiya Jugs are some of the best kits out there. You've done this one justice, especially on the paint and chipping. Thanks for posting.

It would appear they do chip.

Yep, they sure do. Thanks for the photos. Probably some were made from metal and some from rubber. Good to know.

Or the rubber coating had peeled back or shreded like they did on the de-icing boots on the leading edge of B-17s, either way feel free to chip away.... Big Smile
