Well folks, I didn't believe that I will say this after about a year and a half but she is ready for inspection!
OOB with Eduard Look IP and seatbelts.
Painted with Tamiya, Gunze and Vallejo paints.
Weathered with various filters, Tamiya, Ammo and Vallejo washes, Prismacolor silver pencil, AK weathering pencils and Vallejo and Revell pigments.
I am very satisfied with the end result, with a couple of mistakes made which I can live with. I enjoyed the process very much and learned some valuable lessons for the future.
Best,
Nikola

To be honest, I didn't find much about her other than only three photos and some info in texts on the 357th fighter group, the so called Yoxford Boys to which she belonged. They were involved in operation Market Garden and she scored one kill before being shot down. It reads: ''Captain Hershel Pascoe’s P-51D, 44-13714 Desert Rat. He scored one victory on the 18th. On 12 October, Pascoe was flying this airplane when the 363rd bounced 22 Me109s, claiming seven destroyed (four by Chuck Yeager). Pascoe was last seen in the vicinity of Steinhuder Lake. However, he returned after the war, having been a POW.''

Yes, me too. That's why I chose these markings.
Ohh what a beauty! So glad i caught up with the final result after watching all those preshading experiments. a grand result for sure.
In the pattern: Scale Shipyard's 1/48 Balao Class Sub! leaning out the list...NOT! Ha, added to it again - Viper MkVii, 1/32 THUD & F-15J plus a weekend madness build!
Truly nice work. The fuel stains on the drop tanks are a nice touch, what did you use? Did you paint the invasion stripes?
TheMongoose Ohh what a beauty! So glad i caught up with the final result after watching all those preshading experiments. a grand result for sure.

Omni Yomni Truly nice work. The fuel stains on the drop tanks are a nice touch, what did you use? Did you paint the invasion stripes?
Thank you very much Omny Yomni! Very glad that you like how it turned out.
For the fuel stains I used Tamiya washes. They are a bit stronger and darker than they should be since these were single use tanks and dirt and dust didn't have time to accumulate this much, but what the hell... :)
Yes, the invasion stripes were painted, as well as the checker pattern on the nose.
Yep; now thats lovely
