Is this the kit that came with the ability to add the razorback and bubble canopy? I think I built it back in the day when it came chrome plated. But as a young kid, it was beyond my abilities and I didn't know enough to scrape the chrome from the parts that glue together.

I always thought that that was a great way to give kids options to build the kit.

Although I recall adding everything for certain variants to the one plane kit, like the old Monogram P-38. I put so much on that plane, it would never fly. Same with the old Revell F-16.

Made the cradle that will hold the fuselage on the flat car using a profile gauge.

I cut slots at the edges to hold the wings in place,(The wings are on opposite sides  because if they were on correctly then the cannon would point downward which would make bent barrels likely)(so a modification was necessary).

I secured the cradle to the flat car using a bolt, plastic plate and a Wingnut underneath.Track testing was quite successful ,dId not move from the base.
