Which Tamiya 1:48 f16
Posted by Itz Marcus on Monday, December 4, 2023 7:10 AM

Hi,

Unfortunately I cant afford the 1:32 scale f 16 from Tamiya but what was the best release of the 1:48 scale Tamiya F16? There seem to be so many from Tamiya. Is one better than the other or are they basically the same?

I built the F-16CJ Block 50 and had no problems that I didn't create myself.  Good kit.

Looks like they are all reboxing/new parts from the 2007 release.  I have the aggresor boxing in the stash and it looks really nice.

Thanks,

John

I think there's an old Thunderbird version that's from the 80's but those newer ones,I think there's three are all golden.

Tamiya did the Red White & Blue prototype aircraft in the 70's in 1/48. Then along came their more current new tool kits starting in the early 2000's or so. Two completely different moldings. The do have a Thunderbrds boxing in the new tool kit family.
