Aaah at last i see your inspiration. Behind the tail of 'Not so naked bird'. Is that a Brewski i spy. You realise you should drink and spray?

Amazing work as usual Chuck. Brings a tear to the eye knowing your on the final leg. Great idea on the folding tool BTW.

I say we pool some cash and buy chuck here a nice tank kit, or a sci fi kit, so he can school us kids in the other forums outside of aircraft.

I'm the wrong person to pose the question to........but it sounds like a great idea to me! It certainly qualifies!

Also, I believe the beer can is for used Exacto blade disposal.

Yes, Nam- but I did drink the beer first!  Thanks, everybody, for treating me so nicely.  Looks like I've fallen in with some good eggs here!  Cool [8D]

I've managed to push this donkey a little farther down the road- take a look!

For once you have a bit of this that I already know.  Heh.  Decals are one thing I can do.  From what I see... you treat yours with kid gloves.  I slop a layer of decal softener down over the gloss coat, cut out the decal, stick it in water.  Pull it out with metal tweezers.  Slap it down.  And put more softener down (when its lined up) then cackle as it melts.  I treat my decals baddly.

Finally, after my hernia operation, I can get back and see how that Helldiver's coming along. I'll have to take the time during my recovery and just prowl through all 28 pages of this build. What a fantastic job!

Probably just one or two more sessions left, huh?

What with the attention to detail and all, this build is cooler than a penguin's dangly bits.

Keep it up Chuck.

If only....

Thumbs Up [tup] chukw.....as with every installment there is something to be learned or refreshed....Thank you!

I want to reiterate kudos about your talented presentation also. This entertainment is impressive even to non-modelers. (Believe me I showed her and she read every page!)

Your dive brakes are.......well, someday I will toss my drill bits in a drawer. There really is a long way to go I realize now......attaching those brakes.....the legs.....attaching that major greenhouse.....we shall be entertained many more times I trust!

Thanks again for another outstanding chapter!

Well, as I promised myself during my recuperation, I just spent a few hours (over a couple of days) paging through this whole thread and watching chukw build that beautiful Helldiver. What a fantastic build!Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup] Hopefully, there will be a sequel; certainly when the Helldiver is finally finished, it will be a sad day and a glad day at the same time. Sad because there will be no more fun little instructions or wondering what's next; glad because all that hard work will finally have come to fruition in a stunning model (which should be entered in the upcoming Nats in Columbus, or if you can't make it there, the 2010 IPMS Nationals are being held in Phoenix--less than 400 miles from Redondo Beach and only about five miles from my apartment)!

Many thanks, chuk, from myself and all of us who have watched this build over the months.

Now that's classy! Some of us don't even wear pants on the bench! Kidding...

Seriously though, she is beautiful! I've enjoyed reading through the whole thread and watching her come to life! I agree with the others in hopes of an encore for the upcoming fall!

Warmest regards,

Roger

Top marks again Chuckster. The sandy wash really gives the panels some kick. Not sure if its been mentioned before but the photography is first rate. Absolute quality.

You must have an idea on the next build. Go on, give us a clueski.
