Oh, this is gonna be good! The big Hasegawa kits are great, but they are bloody rare to find nowadays and really expensive most of the time...

Revell seem to be coming out with some good kits lately, though I do hope they keep covering the subjects the other mainstream ones are not.

I found some pictures of the test model:

http://www.plastik-modellbau.org/blog/testshots-gebaut-die-neue-focke-wulf-fw-190-f-8-von-revell-im-massstab-132/2014/#more-48353

The website is in German, but the text is neglectable anyways. The pictures on the other hand are very interesting.

It looks like we are going to have the option of building the landing gear retracted and there's even a pretty neat looking display stand included.

What really gets me excited is the engine though: We will get a complete BMW 801 radial with this one, and oh boy, it does look mighty fine!

The release seems to be scheduled for next spring and I'm definitely going to get me at lest one of those, for the engine alone!

That's it!  Excuse me guys...F8, not A8! It's neat to have the stand too.

I agree, Bish. I do hope they continue to make these quality, updated kits. I was thinking which WWII aircraft niche really hasn't been well covered, or modernized lately? Especially in 1/32.

I'm relatively new here and haven't participated in a GB. So where better to get my feet wet? I've got a 1:48 Hasegawa E-4 with Galland decals thet's been in the stash for 20+ years. I think it has parts for E-3 (rounded canopy) and E-7 (drop tank) and a spinners with and without the cannon muzzle but I'm far from an expert on the 109 compared to you folks so feel free to correct me.
Hasegawa has had mutiple E Galland boxings, this is kit number J004. The build would be OOB but I do have CMK figure of Galland to supliment the scene.
At any rate sign me up if you don't mind a noob jumping on board.

On the bench

1:48 Testors SPAD XIII

1:48 Revell P-47D Razorback

1:48 Hasegawa Bf 109E Galland

Personally, i am still hoping they go for a Do 335 and Ho 229. I still can't bring myself to get those ZM kits.

Has anyone else noticed how this GB has already out paced Joes awesome 190 GB. I just checked, (how sad am I) but the 190 GB took 2 months to get to 12 pages. This one has done that in less that 2 weeks.

I think we have a corker on our hands.

I just took advantage of the Spruebrothers cyber Monday sale and ordered some aftermarket goodies for my Bf 109D.

Ultracast Wheels

True Details seats

Squadron canopy

Eduard PE set

Master Model MG17 barrels.

I am thinking that I might try rebuilding most of the interior. Considering the cockpit walls are kinda poorly molded.

Now just have to order the decals in and wait.

Oh and keep working on my Bf 110G-4 for the Defender GB.

Ok I've been trying. To get a pic uploaded.  I keep getting a box that says, host name not parsed, unsure what that means. I'm stumped.

On PB click on picture you want to post, look to the right of the picture when it opens, there is a menu with an option that says"direct link" or something to that effect, click on that, you should see it hilite briefly. Then opt on the finescale site (this should be open at the same time) at the bottom of the posting area click on the little picture icon, this will open the area to post picture, insert the picture address from PB and select post. You should then see the picture on your thread. Try that and see how it works...Take care, and good luck!
