Well, when I pulled up to my house after a quick errand I found that the postman left a package for me.  It's definitely from my SS just in time for my birthday on friday.  I guess I'll wait until Christmas to open it.  Time to test my will power.

I may be an old codger, but my mind is still sharp.

Happy B-Day [bday].  Have a great day, this one is yours.  Enjoy the food, entertainment (what will pop out of the cake - Jon in a Spitfire -Whistling [:-^], Betty Boop (oh oh gave my age away).  Eat cake, ice cream, more cake.  Pepto Bismol.

From one of you unseen FSM forum friends, again Happy B-Day [bday] and may you celebrate many more.

I'm on my way for the PARTY at your place.  Keep the candle burning in the window so I don't miss your pad.

John, thanks for the birthday tidings.  Unfortunately I wasn't at home yesterday for too long.  I went to my younger brother's football game.  It was a district semi-final game and of course as soon as I got there it was 14-0 and they were down.  But all ended well as the good guys scored 21 unanswered points and stole the show 21-14.  It was a good time and a fun way to spend the evening, even in the 20 degree weather.  Another thing, while there I saw one of my uncles (who I see like once per year) and he's all about giving me a 1/48 B-1 since he builds mostly armor.  Looks like I'll have to find lots of space to display that one.  And for the record, I was born during the first week of football after the strike.  You figure out the year if you're interested.

The key on the B-1 is to take it slow. Lots of ill fitting parts (it's just so darn big!!!!). It does make for a great conversation peice, though. Congrats to your brother! What position?

I do not follow football not even the Canadian Football League as my sports interests lie in different areas.  I do know there were two football strikes - 1974 and 1987.  So depends on how you feel each day how old you want to be.

Pass my congrats on to your little brother and his team on thei victory.  May they do well in the final.

If you get the 1/48 B-1 build an extension to the house.

Glad you enjoyed your b'day.

I collected a package at the outsourced postal service yesterday! I didn't hear any noises, but I tucked it in the closet just to be sure! If it by chance starts making noises, I'll put a blanket over it, and if that don't help, I'll borrow a shotgun! Big Smile [:D]

Cheers,

John, since you're a friendly neighbor to the north, I hope that you are a hockey fan.  My interests lie with the Broad Street Bullies, sorry Max.  There was also a players strike in 1982.  That's the one that no one thinks about.  As for the house addition, my next plan is a kitchen addition.

Max, my brother is a MLB.  He's a bit on the small side, 6'0 190lbs, but he gets the job done.

Thanks for the birthday wishes again guys.

Mike, no need to be sorry, you guys are in the Easter Conference! Haha.

You want to see small side? I'm 5'7" 180 haha. No football for me. I play center in the coolest game on earth.

Did you get anything fun for your birthday?

Max, I received a magnifying light from my folks.  My fiancee picked up COD 5 for me.  Other than that, nothin much.  I think my younger brother is picking up a gift card for me to my LHS.  5'8 180 eh?  I would have loved playin against you along the boards.  I played defense.  I only have a few inches on you, but my playing weight was about 225.

Drew, I'd be willing for a shot at that glove hand, although I was one of those Old school defensemen....big, slow, and likes to hit.  Everynow and again I would squeak one through.  As far as the Flyers go, they haven't played the Canucks yet this season...However, they're not doing nearly as well as last season.  Might have tickets to Monday nights game too.  Guess we'll see.

Anyone have any modeling/SS stuff to add, just so we haven't fully hijacked the thread yet?

Haha excellent. Except you'd probably be dealing with me more in front of the crease, I absolutely love to set up camp there. I've learned how to be pretty sturdy, takes a bit of force to move me.

And Drew, you're glove hand probaby could rob me. I've played 12 games and scored 2 goals this session in beer league. That's ok... I'm a monster in the faceoff circle.

Guys, think we could get an FSM team going? Haha

Oh, yes... right... SSGB info. I don't have a box to tick or growl at me yet, so I can't really use that grenade launcher. Too bad, bet that thing is fun.

I dunno?  I do know I'm tall enough not to be able to fit in a spitfire. Sad [:(]  I'd likely need a Corsair or a Thunderbolt! Big Smile [:D]Propeller [8-]
