1 hour 34 minutes. The wife tried to get me to open it when we did presents a few hours ago but I held out.

I'm a little stoked...

Well it's a good three hours before I head off to bed yet but there's a fire in the fireplace, family is playing games trying to distract themselves until bed time and I just snuck off for a couple of minutes to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and I haope all of you enjoy a new year filled with joy and delight.  See you all in the morning and please make sure you're wearing pants for your Secret Santa photo! Wink [;)]

We opened gifts tonight, so I went ahead and opened my SS3 gift as well.  Sorry about the bloke in the photo, he obviously doesn't get dolled up for photo shoots! Blush [:I]

My Secret Santa was Kevin (MIflyer), and he sent me a 1/48 Hasegawa Ki-100 and a PE flap set to boot!  Thank you VERY much Kevin, I love it!  I do not have this one, even though it is one of my all-time favorite Japanese warbirds.  I am going to dig into this one this weekend! Big Smile [:D]

We had our Christmas this evening, since we're driving up to Seattle via I-5 tomorrow morning. My secret santa, Mark Holcomb, aka mark983, got me an awesome kit!  I've been wanting to build a yellow winged bird or an early biplane ever since watching the movie "Dive Bomber".  Well, now I can do both in one, with a 1/48 Accurate Miniatures F3F-2!  Go Mark!  Thank you so much!  This kit looks sweet!

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Cheers,
Alex

Good morning and

MERRY CHRISTMAS

to all of you!

My Secret Santa sent me something from my whishlist, so this year you'll get to know my real face; I'm not talking about the mug shot (that one stays the same more or less) but the real modelling face:

Yes I am a rotorhead maniac!

Thanks a lot Håkan (aka Azgaron) ! I like the model you got for me a lot! Big Smile [:D]
Black Hawks in all their variations arew my favorite helos.

I'm going to convert it as an Army MH-60K with some resin parts and Photoetch, but I'm going to start working on this once I've finished my current project (a 1/35 Pave Hawk Big Smile [:D]).

Once again thanks for the great model and merry Christmas to you all!

Cooked breakfast on the BBQ and then got stuck into the Champagne with the in-laws at breakfast.  Needed a lie down at noon, then back into another session at my parents place in the afternoon.  Now finishing off some prawns and crashing (hopefully)

Yeah - we just finished up the prawns and salad. Had too many beers and marathon Wii sessions with / against my daughter.......thinking about crashing shortly. Melbourne-Boxing Day, of course, I'm off to the Test tomorrow. ( That's Cricket Guys )

Yeah, this struck me as funny, and I'm not trying to be mean, but did I just see a guy from Australia say he threw another "Shrimp on the Barbie"!?.....Groan.... I hope that's as funny to everyone else as it is to me.Laugh [(-D]Wink [;)]

Anyway... MERRY CHRISTMAS!Party [party]

I was happily surprised to unwrap this from Brian44 last night during my family's Christmas. I wish I would have gotten a good shot of the wrapping paper... it was handmade by Brian's wife! Very cool, indeed!

Thank you so much Brian... I'll be doing a bunch of research today while I'm at work so I can get started on it after the new year!

It's cool to see everyone, especially with the smiles on their faces! Merry Christmas to everyone again!

I find that they get to dry when cooked on a BBQ, so we generally just get them cooked , and eat them with wasabi and soy , accompanied by a few refreshing lagers.

Nothing better on a warm evening !

Cheers

No kidding about the duct tape... that is how my brother and I have wrapped our gifts to each other for about 10 years now. I just had to pass on a little of the tradition to AaronBig Smile [:D]. This year I got a gift card from my brother, wrapped in about 1 roll of duct tape. You know it's a good job when you have to break out the knife to get it open!

Well it's 8am here in Iowa, but i won't be opening until my step-daughter gets here and we all open the presents as a family.  So you'll see my ugly mug around 11am.

Thanks again Jon for setting this up.  This is my 3rd year doing the SSGB and each year it's wonderful to see all the familar faces, and get to know the new ones.

Merry Christmas guys

Wow. Everyone has gotten some really good gifts.

Thanks Aaron (sfcmac) for the Monogram He-111. And no, I don't have one. Actually, this will be my first Heinkel I have ever built so I am really looking forward to building it. Smile [:)] Think I will go with the torpedo bomber version.

Sorry, no pictures yet. My digital camera decided to quit working this morning. Banged Head [banghead] Stupid cheap Kodak.

I hope everyone is having a very nice Christmas and getting some good stuff. Can't wait to see what other people got.

Merry Christmas to all.

Sure appears everyon is having fun and enjoying tearing into brightly wrapped boxes of styrene.  The pictures of the models are sure impressive.  All look like they will be fantastic buiids.  Oh, the mugshots are great looking also.

Aren't we a mottly crew,

Still resisting mine.  Actually everyone else is still in bed.  Have to wait till they are up and decide is we do it now or what till the grandkids arrive and totally destroy the house.  Laugh [(-D]

Daniel, I'm glad you like it.  Looking forward to seeing some pictures when you can get to it.  Merry Christmas!

As for my own, my family has not yet bothered to wake up.  I think everyone was up too late last night, which delayed Santa's arrival until the wee hours last night.  He told me he had to stay in a holding pattern for a couple of hours until he knew my daughter finally had gone to sleep.  Gosh, I don't know how the big guy does it - if I had that kind of delay in my work I'd surely miss my deadlines!

Any way, I'll post about my SSIII gift when we finally get around to opening everything.

Thanks Steve (sidure)! I was certainly surprised at your generous gift- thank you my friend, from the bottom of my heart.

And you said it right in your note- this is not something I would have normally gotten, but believe it or not I have been eyeballing this plane for a while- it is so cool looking! Thank you my friend- God bless you.

Merry Christmas everyone!
