Thanks Steve (sidure)! I was certainly surprised at your generous gift- thank you my friend, from the bottom of my heart.

And you said it right in your note- this is not something I would have normally gotten, but believe it or not I have been eyeballing this plane for a while- it is so cool looking! Thank you my friend- God bless you.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Looks like Jon is going to have to build an addition to his model display case for this one.

Well, after leaving this gift wrapped on my coffee table for the last month until we got a tree, Christmas is finally here.  Before I go on any further, Merry Christmas to all of you.  This has been awesome so far.

Anywho, my secret santa, RadMax8, wrapped up Tamiya's 1/48 F4F-4 Wildcat.  Along with the kit he threw in the Walk Around for the Wildcat, and a Moto Tug from a Tamiya Corsair kit!  It's great!  I had been eyeing up this kit for sometime and now I don't have to anymore.  Well, Max, to answer your question, yes, I do like it.

For the gratuitous photo:

Thanks again Max, and Merry Christmas to everyone!

We opened gifts tonight, so I went ahead and opened my SS3 gift as well.  Sorry about the bloke in the photo, he obviously doesn't get dolled up for photo shoots! Blush [:I]

My Secret Santa was Kevin (MIflyer), and he sent me a 1/48 Hasegawa Ki-100 and a PE flap set to boot!  Thank you VERY much Kevin, I love it!  I do not have this one, even though it is one of my all-time favorite Japanese warbirds.  I am going to dig into this one this weekend! Big Smile [:D]

Glad you like it Frank! I knew that you like Japanese fighters, but the Ki-100 was a guess on my part. Glad I chose wisely! Party [party]

I went home to my parent's place yesterday and spent the night there. On Christmas morning this year, there was a new kid in the family... my parent's retriever puppy Molly. As you can see, she likes presents. My brother had a hard time with this one:

Notice the Dremel box at the bottom of the photo. Guess who got that one?

And here's what you all want to see. My as-yet-unidentified Santa knew found me a USMC fighter - a 1/48 Hasegawa A-4M Skyhawk! I have been wanting one of these for a while - thanks Santa! I don't build a lot of jets, but this one is going to be fun!! Propeller [8-]

Merry Christmas everyone!

I anticipate that you will enjoy building this as much as I had fun in trying to decide what to sent for as a token.  I never knew I could spend so much time in a LHS looking at and reading plastic styrene boxes.  So may choices, so many different aircraft out there.  Enjoy your time at the bench with this gift from me to you.

Also the book was a little add in as I saw it and said to my self, Self, this looks interesting, looked a few pictures and realized that my victim - oops - recipient would enjoy a little light reading between builds.  You never know the book might entice you into building even more or increasing your stash.

Best wishes to you and your family from Papa-John and his family.  We are patiently waiting for the grandkids to arrive and that is when we are going to open the brightly coloured paper (assorted shapes and sizes) that patiently wait under the tree.  Talk about the house being turned upside down.

Best wishes to everyone and enjoy you day.

One of the nice things about seeing mug shots - we get to see the range of ages - younguns - to old codgers like me.  Maybe I better not upload a mugshot, don't want to scare the younguns or give them nightmares.

John (alter ego - PaPa-John - still a kid at heart)

Well, Jon, aka jwb, hooked me up with a delightful bird that will be a pleasure to build.

First, Santa's helpers:

This little elf made sure I unwrapped things properly.

This little elf made sure nothing was missed.

An Ilyushin IL-2 Stormovik.  Already popped the box open to smell the styrene.  This little baby is going to build up nicely!  Thank you Jon, and thank you for making my Christmas that much brighter.

Many thanks to Jon for organizing this.  It's so nice to see so many happy faces on Christmas.  Merry Christmas to all!

How he knew the early "non-bubble" mustangs were my favs, I'll never know!Big Smile [:D]I didn't notice it right away, but he threw in some white metal goodies with it. Prop, cannons, and exhaust.

Thanks Paul, and Merry Christmas everyone!

Here's a pic of me, the kit and a couple of camera hogs....I mean my sons!Big Smile [:D]

Thanks to Mark aka MaxSheridan for the cool Fujimi BF 110 C/D. After opening the box I also found a True Details set for the office along with a Squadron vac-u-form canopy and if that was not enough True Details wheels! Thanks again Mark! And Merry Christmas everyone! And thanks Jon for organizing the build!

First, thanks to Jon for this GB. So fun! So cool!

Second, I'd like to give a big YOU'RE WELCOME to my Santa-ee! I don't know if you've ever looked through one of those books before, but they're awesome!

And.... not to be outdone by my Santa-ee, I'm wearing my Blue Jackets White Out shirt... Perhaps not as blatent, but you get the pointWink [;)] My gift was from Leaadas, aka Tom. He sent me a real neat plane last year, a Corsair. This year was just as good!

How does he know I like those big, burly radials?! The P-47M... I can't wait!

This little number wasn't much of a suprise... "Santa" came to look it over while I was working HAHA

Merry Christmas everyone!

Many thanks to Mike aka "Swingr1121" for this incredible SS gift!  I must say I was surprised to find not one, but two, kits in the box!  I actually already have the Eduard P-39 but it's the "D" not the "Q" so that's great!  This year I have actually built multiple versions of the same aircraft (5 P-40s and 2 F4Us).  The MiG is one I've had my eye on for a while now but have just never gotten around to acquiring.  Thanks so much!

I am loving the pics!  Kinda like judging a Miss America Pagent!  I didn't see any tan lines on Jon this year though?

Thanks to him and to each of you for sharing a little of your Christmas! Thumbs Up [tup]

Oh yeah, I was happy to see a 110 never built one before. I was surprised when I opened the box and kept on pulling out detail sets for the thing. I was thinking how many things can Mark pack into this box?  Can't wait to start on the office this weekend. This will be my first time building a resin office.

Yeah, Aaron I thought I looked really overcome with happiness in that picture also! I was half asleep when that picture was taken.
