Well, the wait is finally over. Bright and early I opened my gift and to my surprise it was nothing close to what I was thinking. I used clues, ugly and Quasimodo to get a A-7 (SLUF) or a F-4 (Double ugly) Man was I way off Laugh [(-D]

My sincere thanks to my friend Dave -aka razordws - for the fun of the clues. That made it very entertaining in this house the last week and a half. Thumbs Up [tup] This is a kit I have thought about getting on more than one occasion, but never picked one up. Dave, thanks so much, it'll be a great build. Approve [^]

Take this plastic and model it!

Well, I finally got around to opening my SS gift that was sent to me by my SS - DrewH (Drew). Presently have lots of company and unable to post a picture, but will grace this site with my beauty and the beauty of a Tamiya North American RAF Mustang III, later this evening.  I know you all will wait with abaited breath for my mugshot and aircraft shot to grace your computer screens.  It is a toss up as to which is the better looking.

Thanks Drew.  This is one fantastic looking plane (awesome).

Everyone have a great day.

This GB sure makes is seem more like Christmas.  So much fun and comradre.  Must thank Jon (jwb) for another magnificant time.

John

Yeah, this struck me as funny, and I'm not trying to be mean, but did I just see a guy from Australia say he threw another "Shrimp on the Barbie"!?.....Groan.... I hope that's as funny to everyone else as it is to me.Laugh [(-D]Wink [;)]

Anyway... MERRY CHRISTMAS!Party [party]

I was happily surprised to unwrap this from Brian44 last night during my family's Christmas. I wish I would have gotten a good shot of the wrapping paper... it was handmade by Brian's wife! Very cool, indeed!

Thank you so much Brian... I'll be doing a bunch of research today while I'm at work so I can get started on it after the new year!

It's cool to see everyone, especially with the smiles on their faces! Merry Christmas to everyone again!

Merry Christmas, Jon!  Glad you liked the Tomcat - hope you didn't already have this one!  SWMBO is also very pleased that you liked the wrapping paper!  How did you like the slide show CD?

And now, a  MEGA Thank you to my Secret Santa, KingThad!  Long live the King! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]  I was so surprised and pleased to find not one, not two, but THREE totally cool kits in my "stocking"!

First, an ICM P-51!

Second, a Hasegawa SBD Dauntless!!

and last, but most certainly NOT least.....

an Eduard P-39 Airacobra Double Kit!  I couldn't believe my good fortune - I have been wanting a Dauntless and the Eduard P-39 for quite a while - Thad, you have gotta have a great spy network or ESP!

Merry Christmas, all!

Your welcome friend.  The stunned look on your face says it all.  Laugh [(-D]  I hope the clues make a little more sense now that you've opened it.  Especially the Quasimodo one.  All the talk about ugly was just filler material.  Didn't want to give too many clues for fear of giving it away.

I'm still going to drive very quickly when I pass Aldergrove tomorrow just to make sure there are no reprisals.  As for payback next year.  I'm fair game!  Mischief [:-,]Evil [}:)]

Oh... and I see you'll be singing Karioke tonight!!! Laugh [(-D]

THANK YOU Bill !!!!! I am just curious how did you know I like Polish aircrafts ? Smile [:)]

I did not realize that anybody else makes this aircraft in 1/48 besides Mirage Hobby. Sure I will build it very soon. Thanks again !!!

Well I didn't know anyone made it PERIOD, except for the old Revell in 1/72. It's an older kit, but those are often pretty fun! Merry Christmas!

Vietnam seemed to be the theme for me this year, and thank you Alex (Cardshark) for the splendid A-26. I think it's gonna be a covert operator of some sort, maybe French in Indochina.

Very cool!

And thank you Jon once again for bringing us all together.

Ok. I broke out the old camera and it works. So here is my mugshot with my new He-111. I, on the other hand of my Secret Santa Aaron, do smile. Big Smile [:D]

And here is a close up of the kit. I already took the wrapping off to look inside and I can't wait to start.

Thanks again Aaron for my first Heinkel. Really looking forward to building it! And I must say that the CD is really cool. Very good selection of music. Some of my favorite stuff is on there. (The Andrew's Sisters. Confused [%-)] I don't even think I would have thought of that putting that on there.Cool [8D])

Big thanks to WarHammer (Brendan ) for such a great kit and one that I need for my collection. Always wanted a 1/48 dragon JU-88A-6 and you picked it great, thanks santa cant wait to start building it and it's a baloon cutter on top of it. Very interesting subject.

Thanks to Jon again for hosting this great GB and Merry Christmas to one and all.

Opened my Airacobra and was floored with the extras...Thanks a bunch..

I'm sorry I can't say who did this for me, I lost the letter you sent with the kit..

Sound off, cuz I'll remember as soon as I see your S/N.

I'm looking forward to this build, and the decal sheet is definately R-rated, lol... More nekkid girls on it than a "Girls Gone Wild" commercial...

THere's one of the gals that's perfect for my custom nose-art B-17 as well.. Thanks again..

And a close-up of the bird..

The PE and canopy masks are a first for me in aircraft, at least that MUCH P/E, lol...  THe resin seat and parachute pack were a nice touch, allowing me to throw the 'chute out on the wing when it gets to the diorama...

Glad you like it. When Jon e-mailed me and it said WWII German, I knew exactly what to get. It was hard for me not to order two. Can't wait to see this one built!

War hammer! So glad you liked the kit. I took a shot. That is mood music to build by LOL.

Steve you look like ou are attempting very hard to smile! It's ok probably not allowed in front of all that USMC stuff!

Hans? You look like yor ready to play Joseph in the Church Christmas Skit!  How in the world do you keep all that hair from going gray?

Bondo is looking rather dapper.... must be the cap.

All the kits are looking like wild stuff that everyone put some thought into!  I look forward to seeing them worked on in this most excellent of GB's.

HVH, glad you like the kit. By what I've seen from your work you could put just about anything to use but I actually found a comment you made about that very plane so the choice was easy.

Lots of neat stuff going on here! Glad to put some faces with the names and a few have been suprizes. You know, how you hear someone on the phone and finally see them and they don't look anything like you imagined?

Steve, I can see it now.

"Stand him up. No, over here in front of the flag. Yeah. Ok, put the kit in his hands. No, flip it over! There. Aw, crap. Where are his pants?"
