time for another update.Dragons Ausf.E gets the sideline again. You see i just kind of sat there and scratched my melon,Karl if you read this i'm telling you i need me one of those opti-grab oh s&%! i mean opti-visor. Besides i figure it adds character to the character.Back to the matter at hand. The 10.5cm. selbsfahrlette Aus.B or something on that order.Anyway most of the final assembly is finished and tonight i sat down and hand wrapped a couple of rear fender springs. The styrene rod was perhaps a bit over scale but they'll do.The spring itself is simply a strand of speaker wire wrapped around the slightly larger diameter wire. Then the rod was cut into approx. 1" inch lengths.I glued the rod to the spring with CA ,hate the stuff, allowed the CA a chance to bond, repeat. Before gluing to the model the ends of the rod were trimmed flush one one side.Using the conveniant spring handles i attached the ends one at a time, giving the first that chance to bond, attached the other end.The ends of the handles are trimmed flush. There you are ladies and gentleman, my mini toot on the panzer IV rear fender spring.WARNING:SOME PRACTICE IS ALWAYS GOOD.
The first photo the spring is trimmed and ready for paint. The second shows the handles still attached. All the onboard tools are attached with the exception off the tow cables.I really did'nt like the way they were hung on the turret. There aren't to many photo's of these vehicles so i figured i will add some extra track to uparmor the turret sides, hangs those cables where i please and such.
So close!
Thanks for all the kind words and comments people I appreciate them.Any comments are welcome. p.s:think this slugger may get some whitewash.
