dupes

Bushi - looking forward to your pics!

Bish - I don't see anything wrong with getting a 5-stripe badge solely on Flakpanzers...have at it! Big Smile

Think i will save the othesrsfor later. My last 3 armour builds have all been Flak, and my next one is the 251/17 C. That will be two 215's and two Pz IV's back to back, and all Flak wagons. Time for me to do some big guns.

Thanks for the comments guys. If i had had the time, i could have got all 5 bars just building flakpanzer. Been a great GB once again dupes. My last 3 armour builds have all been for your GB's, and as well as being ale to build some of my favorite kits, its also given me the chance to practice some of the new methods i have picked up as well as learn alot from the other guys.  Some really awsome work going on here. I know the new site hasn't gone down well with everyone, but hopefully it won't put to many off and we will get used to it and still be the great site that the people here make it.

As soon as these kits are turned into Dio's and shown in there proper setting, i will post more pics, but that could be a few months away yet.

Bish, Geist, Wingy - awesome work you guys! Wow, looks like December is going to be a good month for 1,000 Roadwheels!

Unfortunately I've had a lot of problems with the new site design and my shoddy internet connection...going to do what I can to keep my level of involvement high on the site, but I really hope they make some changes. I would PAY to have them revert to the old site!

Ditto, guys, superb work! I would have loved a few stripes up, but the only one I can guarantee is the StuG -- it looks like the Brumbar wasn't shipped in the package I was hoping for. Ah, well, if you line up all the Pz IV variants I have now, I could build half an army if there's ever a 1000 Roadwheels II!

I have at least four models to complete by New Year, six would have been better but something tells me that's a bit optimistic!

Cheers, Mike/TB379

Bish:I must say that is one pair of Flak panzers I wouldn't mind in my stable.Giest:Your Ausf.D looks like she's ready to lead the way.You can whip up a figure much better than myself at this time.Ihave quite a collection of panzer crews, but they are not much good in thier factory finish.YesWingnut:I,I'm having a bit of trouble finding,oh wait a moment, there it is,why that is a very nice braille scale panzer you've got there.Stick out tongueHey I gotta say you guys, and gals if there are any here, have really done a monster of a job here as the end date fast approaches.nothing short of some great builds by all.Now if I would just get my arse in gear I may be able to finish two more.Wink

Well, my Tamiya Pz IV D with Dragon crew is done! Finally....

I've learned at least one lesson from this build. MK tracks may look nice and are cheaper than Fruils, but they are a pain to build. I'll be sticking to Fruil tracks when I replace old or incorrect tracks from now on. I guess I'm lucky that my LHS has them for $35-$40 a set. Anyway, on to the pics.

I'm very happy with how the figs turned out. I don't build figs very often and I think I'm getting better each time. I guess I get to collect my second badge now? Thanks for looking, and any comments are appreciated.

Nice work Bish!  Both of those look killer!   Cool

I'm back to work on the Pz.Beob.Wg IV Ausf. J, just need to build the turret and deal with the side skirts.  I'll have some update pics in the next day or two.

Hopefully this is going to work. Got a half decent signal this aftrenoon. This is my first post on the new forum so i wait to see how it will come out loading pics.

Here is the completed Ostwind, i have tried to go for a light weathering look. It was painted with xtraclolour enamels, given a very thin wash, dry brushed then gone over with chalk pastels.

And heres a couple of pics of the two vehicles i built for the GB. The Ostwind and the Kugelblitz.

As always, all comments welcome.

It's down to the wire for me- and here they go and mess up the whole site!! Although I like the "Your Friends" category... I think?

I don't know how to work anything, but I'll try to finish up my dio and get some pictures on here if I can ever find the thread again. What was wrong with the "My Forums" tab?!

Managed to get my Ostwind finished last night. Unfortunatly my moblie broadband ranges from dead slow to just about load something with the occasional half decent. I've got the pics taken and will try to load during the week, if not will be next weekend when i get home. Also haven't checked out everyone else's work as it take so long just to load a page. So i will do that as soon as i can.

Hi df -- thanks! I'll definitely be doing another as well, without zim and in a tri-tone ambush scheme, maybe with blowing leaves, and maybe AM tracks and stowage. (Gotta give Dragon's a go as well, of course...)

Progress report, guys -- I'm into the wash weathering phase, using burnt umber and burnt sienna oils in enamel thinner. It's a pity you can't see all this subtle pinwashing from two feet back, and only the overall darkening really shows up. here she is contrasted with some parts that are not yet washed:

Photobucket" border="0" />

I need to pinwash the hatches on the engine deck, and start on the external fittings. So, the wash is ongoing, and hopefully I'll get into drybrushing today, as well as spraying the track segment for the bow rack.

Cheers, Mike/TB379

Thanks Nate.

Building is basically done at this point.  The improvements made are new tow pintles pins, springs for the rear mud guards, new grab handles on the turret and replacing the molded in handle next to the spare road wheel rack, headlight wiring, smoke launchers and a new reflector on the rear mud guard.   Hopefully I will get the first coats of paint down tonight.  The extra armor on the front by the MG and vision port is not really an improvement.  The kit comes with a choice of parts and I used the wrong one so I had to make the armor.
