Ok Mike I know who to ask now for Specific Aircraft Specifics! I am FLabbergasted with such a quest for detail.
My Detail quest als is still in training. Started with the old $5 Otaki kit. ( No Frills) I thinned out and got rid odf all the molded in square shapes on the sides of the inside fuselage and in the quest not to go to overboard with a $5 kit am adding a cheap True details resin pit but am trying to liven it up with an Edward 1/48 G-6 interior set. I figure this kit doesn't even have an open canopy option but it is giving me a little practice before I dig into the bigger more expensive stuff. Here are a few pics of my progess thus far. Holler out any suggestions as I will probably take and use them all!
Trying to get the seatbelts looking like the pic Frank put up for me.
The PE stuff helps with the smaller details. Right now it seems to be going pretty cheap as the new Colored PE is the newest. I picked up the plain G-6 set for another $5
The True Details pit was about 7-8 bucks so I have invested $20 total in practice parts that I want to look okay even if it's practice.
Using guys trick with the white backing on the film instruments. Actually I just plopped white paint on the backside. So a couple more little additions to the right side and onto the fine painting to try to get it to pop out and look better.
So In all seriousness I really do read everything, save every pic and follow the good techniques I see you all post.
