 I have mastered the art of building in my sleep. That is my excuse for some of my work!

I ask Frank he said it was OK! Been on the bench 2 days straight now fixing up a real old model from 1978 for the NME GB with Roy.  It was good timing as I am still a little shaky to mess with the tiny PE stuff yet. May need some solid food!

My hat is off to you, my friend, White 13 is BEAUTIFUL! The diorama base is just perfect, I can feel the sting of that Russian wind. How you do it in 1:72 I don't know, I'd be sorely challenged to generate camo like that in 1:48. Your work is an inspiration and I've downloaded the pics for future reference. One thing's certain, I'll be thinking about that ProModeller 1:72 G-10 in my stash!

I've not been able to do anything to my K-4 yet -- two of the three camo colours are out of stock locally, I'll have to mailorder RLM 75 and 76 from Hong Kong! (I could try an interstate shop, that might be cheaper, but with HK I have an excuse to get some more panel wash or decals, or some Quickboosts or something...)

I'll post the cockpit and fuselage work, but I can't close the wings until I can paint inside the rads with the underside shade.

I have a Tiger and a Mustang to finish by New Year, better get cracking, though I'm molding and casting on a scratchbuild today...

Do you ever sleep Aaron. Between posting,building and all the GB how do you do it. Funny thing about the 3 aircraft, as you can see they are all done in different coloured plastic. I know the manufacture are all different, Revell US, Revell Germany and Monogram. All were sharp molds except the Monogram which is green and covered in flash. And what geniues thought up the idea to stamp the elevators with the name and year on them. Glad all the sanding is behind me though.

OK, just snaped a pic of where I am right now. Forgot how much I hate the sanding process so X 3 and you get the picture. I had to rescribe some panel lines and I think I went too deep but oh well. Next up is the paint shop for the RLM 76. Might try to do it tonight.

HK, really nice job on this one. Everything on it is very well done, clean and sharp. There was something about it I couldent put my finger on, then I noticed that it was not weathered. Nice to see a clean bird. Good job.

Mike, you build and the photo presentation is superb. You do a heck of a job on 1/72. I have a hard time getting a 1/48 to look that good, great job.

Aaron, nice progress my friend. You are one crazy person, keep it comming.

Thanks for the G14/AS info.  So, in essense, I need to:

1. move this filler hatch lower...

2. FIll in this hatch...

3. use the smaller wing bumps and 660 X 160 tires

4. short tailwheel

Does this sound right?  I am seriously considering converting my G-10 into a G-14/AS for something different.

Mike, white 13 looks great! You have a handle on that 72nd stuff. I really like the setting and photo work too!

My 72 scale stuff always comes out looking toylike. I've never been able to get the "finesse" right, that delicate look. Yours looks like the full size bird!

Guy- You oughta give your elves a raise, they are quite talented!

As for the Revi sights, I believe (though I am probably wrong!) that they did not have the cushion pad on them as they were foldable, and could be folded out of the way when not in use.

Aaron- Leave you alone for a day and everything goes to pot!  Back to your bench soldier!

 Well uh yeah, In 1/72 scale.... and a base and snow and  and more and. What can I say? It looks too good to be true. A snapshot outta the past ! As good as the smell of bacon and pancakes! I'm afraid to look too much as I may cry.... Guy told me to be more in touch with my emotions and Frank said it was OK.

Mike it is truely to be seen to be believed!

Overall an enjoyable build, no real drama.  Even had time to slap together an Academy Kettenkrad while I was waiting for the sun to come out.

Hmmmm I'll quote Forest Gump.... I'm not a smart man Jenny... but I see pads on both of um..... Now on the handles I see the corner brackets the earlier pic had them as well and the handles. You know what?  With the absence of the complete Jedi council I believe they have left us to our own wiles. What are they? Crazy!  I'd say your the man for the site info looking back on your G-10. We must bring forth merryment and cheer for all those Luft fellers that are suffering through the Holidays. Stan like the Phienox shall rise and be reborn from the ashes and probably toast our patooties for painting the site pads pink! I already have my story straight!

You guys are making itch to start on a 109, but I can't until I've completed my 110, complete with warped fuselage!

Having got the Owl decals for the 110, there is a G-14AS nightfighter on the same sheet which is very tempting.

 Oh bonkers! That doesn't look like mine at all!  Cushion pad? No Idea I see one on the G-6, Oddly what I do not see is those Oh shiwh handles on that mounted sight picture you posted.

Well im calling the pit about done. Ive still got to fiddle with the dash panel and the sight but thats another story

Ooh the sight. Its my belief that the Revi 16B which was in the K versaions and the 10's i believe didnt have a cushion pad on the front? I hope im right.

Thanks guys!  I agree- the "E" was a most rugged looking machine, all business.

hk- Great tip about the wet Future and decals, I am going to try that on my next set of prop decals.  I have a lot of trouble on those in the past, especially on a recently completed P-40.  Think I may strip them and redo it.

Aaron- Really looking the biz!  I don't see any other items amiss, and looks to me like you are well on your way to being a 109 experten.  Nothing wrong with detailing up a $5 kit- I did the same to a 1/48 Tamiya Zero a couple of years back and won first place in it's class at the local model show.  One of my favorite builds!  Detail away buddy!

Tell me about it John. I figure Guy finished a couple hours ago since his parts finally arrived.  Having trouble sleeping tonight... Go figure I slept nearly 2 full days away. Well here is where it stands looking at the pics short of a few tiny tiny T handles I can compare this to the pic and say all I see is that the O2 lines? Are all blue? I have seen some that have the big blue fan and the fitting blue but lines left silver.  I dunno what do you all think?

Also I have missed a strap behind the trim wheels that needs painted leather as opposed to gray.  Any body got any suggestions to what I may have missed ?  You know I just buy the magazine to look at the pictures!

Here is Mike's donated picture that I am using as a comparison.

 I lightened the seatbelts a bit and attached the PE IP to the kit part after thinning it flat. That way it fits.  I'll sleep on it and see what Y'all think before closing her up. I know nuts to put all this effort into a $5 model but I am learning a lot!.
