I have seen those yellow loops on a few of the Italian gear bays.  I figured they were either stops or part of the coolent  hoses because of the color.  I added this Big Green mean Machine to the front page but I am slacking as far as Model brand and your name Voides! Sorry! Never the less I have been waiting for this one to be finished and I like it!  Patience and skills have made an excellent edition to this GB!

Guy why is Voides not on your page one?  You are slacking!  A fine example of an Englishman that stops the bowling ball painted like a soccor ball with his head and still scores a goal me thinks!  Get cracking there fellow or else SC! and Jeremey will make a meatball sandwich outta yer brains and lable it as a low fat meal sure to bring the attention of several  dieting woman on your route!

It will look like Dawn of the Dead but with more seasoning!

Needs more Oregano!  MMMMM!

Great work again Voides!Bow [bow]

No AM parts were used what so ever (decals were included with the kit). Scale is 1/72 and the manufacturer is Hasegawa. I'll list a few of the modifications I can remember.

#Cockpit is detailed with Scratch built headreast, instrument panel, side consoles, seatbelts etc.

#Wheel whell was cut out and sctratch built (there wasn't anything in there OOB).

#Radiator was cut out and detailed with a new scratch built "radiator-flap", among other things.

#Front cowling is reshaped using putty and new air inlets had to be made.

#Wing fillers are reshaped along with the fuselage aft of the main radiator.

#Control surfaces are altered to look more to scale.

#Holes were drilled out on a few places and a few panel lines have been moved to their correct place, including the ones on the elevator.

I'm sure there's more but I  can't remember the specifics right now.

I'm pleased with the end result but there's still a few things that bugs me whenewer I look at the model (mostly in the wheel whell area) but I can live with it. Hope it's up to Regia Aeronautica standards Smile [:)] !

I might also post a few more photos on the Aircraft forum.

P.S. all comments are welcome!

From what I could tell the SM.82 looks like a nice kit. This was one of two at last years contest, they were done almost the same lol. Unfortunately I only took a pic of one of them.

And a shot of a G.50

First night back to work and it went well!  Nice and boring and uneventful!

Now I get on the GB to see all the pics and I get future releases and  raw tomato sauce!  You fellows are gonna make me break out my glue!

Thanks Bondoman!

That is nice, vine rippening tomatoes in the garage.  The Italians have their priorities strait.  They created the two greatest pieces of artwork too:  the 250 GTO, and the 250 Lusso.

As for Guy...the English are awesome at many things (James Bond, Guy Ritchie movies, the Canberra, Spitfire and superb mustaches), cooking, from my understanding isn't one of them!  Both are countries that I would love to visit.

The Italian trimotors have a lot of character.  Has anybody built the Italeri SM82?  That looks like a great kit.

Cheers,

Greg

As for sauce, when I cook, it is usually for ten, so I open some jars!  If not, tomato sauce with fresh, not powdered garlic, basil, oregano, salt, pepper, and cumin.  Simmer with bay leaves.  Add mushrooms, peppers, onions etc saute'ed as needed.

Looking at all of the completed builds, all I can say is: wow.  I am way out of my league, but I guess that is how one gets better.... I hope.

I hope all of you in the Regia mafia have had a good weekend so far.

Take care,

Greg

Crush, we have a Paisan! Well maybe not in is DNA but he unnerstans what happens when you have to go to the mattresses. Greg you get an A.

As for Guy, he's still googling Rachel Ray who's melting cheezwhiz on macaroni boxes.

OK fellow, down to business. Modeling an SM.79 is like modeling a P-51. Well and good, but focus a little. No need to get crazy, but any good Regia model needs a little back story. A good place to start is Italeri and what their kits suggest. I have a III in the stash, which is a torpedo bomber. The Squadron book is a good resource. For my Lira there's been way too many single engine fighters "and they all look the same" so a trimotore machina is a welcome addition.

In order to make a good sauce, you need a good garage...

I love the Breda in sandy mottled camo. The pic on the MPM box in S.A.M shows the plain green. It would have to be your piccy, so the Dave fault meister can work his magicly mojoliness on it.

Right, What are we looking for in the 2nd round of videos? Wheres Bondo when you need him. Hes a man with a plan if ever there was one. Apart from his main plan of teaching us hoodlums how to make pasta sauce and drink Grappa,

Hey Guy probably went to bed but I did collect all the links to the videos I could locate in this GB!  They are on the bottom of my front page post. Perhaps someone with more technical savy can make a better page with them since they are centrally located now? If not click away!

Oh Frank you poor lost soul. I'll wait for Bondo to explain it he can do a much better job of it than I probally could.

The Breda 88  looks sweet! It is deninetely on my radar along with the Breda Ba 65. I whish they were 1/48 scale but you can'y be real  pickey  so if I have do built one in "Dave" scale I would.

Hmm new round of viddy's! I do not know if I can get Scott Baio agian for my new video but I will try. Is there a theme we are going for our hairly lipped leader and is clothing optional? I ask that mainly for Jeremy.

Sarge is Back! WOO HOO! It's just not the same with out old Sarge around crackin' the whip. Glad to see you up and about agian.

Hey again, flicking through my latest edition of Scale Aviation Modeller and i see that MPM are bringing out a 1/72 kit of the Breda BA.88 Lince. I tried to find an online image of the box as it looks fairly cool. Dave, this is your scale and im sure youll want one, big boy. Hell, i want one.

Yey, Aarons back. Glad to hear that your back is much better. Glad you had a restfull RnR as well. Looks like your folks live in a great place too. Not sure that id need the croc warnings though. If i even got a sniff of one of those feckers, id be out of there.

Good to hear that youve got the urge to build something Italian. Now youve finished the 262 Bow [bow], whats it to be. We nweed your skills here.

As for the front page, have you found all the videos that were posted? That would be cool to have them all in the same place. I feel we should have new videos. What say ye all?

Good thing Guy being the fine Magnum specimen of manlynes he is can climb up there for me!

Guy look out for that osprey!

Wow he took a nasty fall!  Anyone see where he landed?

Oh there he is ! The trash can broke his fall but he has some spanish moss stuck up his nose! Good thing we have a new Texas Fireman to handle such emergencies!  Welcome Greg!

Let me see if I can get these pics caught up on page 1. What all are we missing! Hmmmmm!

Welcome aboard Greg. Another man who drives a huge vehicle and gets ignored by all other road users (Im a bus driver BTW). Great man cave Whistling [:-^] Glad you got back into the modelling. I reckon about 90% of all the modellers on this great forum, have comem back after a hiatus of one sort or another. I notice from the pics that there is a distinct lack of Moustachio. Didnt you read the rules at the beginning. Geez, were going to have to let it slip this time. But your going to have to some serious homwework as pennance.

If you stick around long enough, youll soon learn to speak 'Bondo'.

Cardinal Bondilicious, would the recipe for perfect pasta sauce be Tesco's own brand?

Or better yet answer a trivia question: what are the contents of a good pasta sauce?

Dinner with Mussolini is the theme.

We look forward to your ideas on a paint scheme, Stormo is a resource, as is wingspalette.
