Guy nice pics of the 87 in Regia markings. The top pic is very interesting because the faces insignia on the bottom of the left wing is backwards! I would guess this 87 was probally turned over to the regia from the Luftwaffe and repainted in the field.

Here is another pic of the AV-USK 1/72 SM-84. Like I said I whish I had another one to do a better job on but these puppies are scarce.

Made good progress on the G-55 last night. I just have to make a pilot tube. The kit does not include one though the do remind you to make you own from streched sprue. Then glue on the wheels and add the antenna wire and she will finally be done. look for pics tomorrow night.

Voides the Macchi looks great. Get er' done man. You do'nt want old Sarge on your 6!

Bondo looking foward to the SM-81. I might have to track one of those down to fill the collection out.

Voidses, Great stuff so far. Paint and decalling looks spot on. As for the answer to the problem on the sheet under it...its 7! Now that sussed you can finish the G.55. Good man.

Sir Sean of Olden Kits, What a cracker youve pulled from the bag this time. Just right for you to work your delicate touch on loads of missing detail,  Construction Ive wanted to do a Reggy Stuka for ages. Some really nice schemes,

Italian Junkers Ju 87 Stuka

Get cracking man. I want to see results in 48hrs! thats the norm for you and the Sarge these days isnt it?

Voidses - The plunbing I can see really makes the wells "Pop" ! The decal job looks fantastic but I am afraid your background is enough to make my brain explode .. Yeooowww what is that , some Top Secret Regia Paint Formula ?

Aaron -   Yep I figured it was about time for another Regia build. I need to build something after that quick OOB ship build.. Whistling [:-^]

Sure sure Luftwoller, I'm not into those kinda things really, just happens to be that when someone has an idea they think I won't buy, I usually want to prove them wrong Laugh [(-D] but I'm marked for life on this forum because of that aint I? (among other things Whistling [:-^])

These pics I'm not sure if I'v posted earlier, they'r a bit old. Trying to sort out all the plumbing in the wheel whell was a no-go for me, settled with just trying to make it look "busy". None of the "pipes" are visible in these photos though.

Your Eminence- the original intention was the ivory with red sun rays, but... my source at the LHS tells me that the new Italeri kit comes with a dazzling array of choices, so a final decision is on hold.

SC - So sorry to hear about your wife... that's horrible. I'll do my best to kick the habit! About seven years ago, I decided to quit and did good for a year but I finally caved in. It's not easy... even after a year I wanted a cigarette. When you do smoke, you don't really think about the health concerns. Our reason for quitting was purely financial. I go through a carton a week which ends up being around $80 a week in these parts... that sucks! When you bring your tradgedy to light, it makes me think and, yeah, I would like to make it a while longer.

Sean - Thanks and it's very kind of you to offer the kit, but if my wife sees one more box for me in the mail, she's gonna take my head off with a frying pan! She's crazy... especially now that she's off the nicotene! I gotta go hide now... I'm scared!

Sean I'm not trying to bum you out. Just trying to help people understand why I am such an advocate to get anyone I care about to stop smoking so someone else does not have to go through what I did. I would like to have all of my freinds around as long as possible including you.Smile [:)]

That is a cool subject their Bondo. I love all of the SM series. How about a an SM 84.

This was my first ever short run multi media kit. I whish I had another one to do a better job on but AV-USK went oout of buisness a couple of years ago.

Well then I guess the 1/32 Macchi is next then. Guy you said to watch out of the fit of the resin cockpit? I will make sure to do lots of test fitting before adding the CA glue. I though I had everything timed out well with the 262 GB not starting until the end of the month but Mike (luftwaffle) jumped the gun so Frank decided to bump the start day up.Banged Head [banghead].

Last night I sat down at the bench, dumped all of the little fiddly bits out onto the cutting mat and opened up the super glue. I said to myself lets get this G-55 done already. I managed to glue one cannon barrel on the end of the fairing and my mom calls. My dad was having some small medical problems and she needed my help because he is to tall for her to be able to move by herself. He is fine but I could not believe the timing! I am thinking am I ever going to get this G-55 done!Banged Head [banghead]

Jeremy glad to hear you decided to quit on the cancer sticks or coffin nails whichever you prefer. I lost my wife to heart disease from smoking at the age of 36 so I am big fan of people quiting. Hope you manage to break the habit. I am sure your wife would like to keep you around a little longer.Smile [:)]

Not yet Guy... I wanna try and finish up my Spitfire for the Air Race GB and get some more work done to this infernal helicopter machine. I need to get my bench cleared up... too cluttered.

On a side note... I quit smoking this weekend and now I'm really fidgety so I need to keep busy with these kits so as to stay occupied. One day I'll be cranking 'em out like Guy... dozens a week. Wink [;)]

I have to agree Crusher, A macchi withy the smoko rings will just be the biz. And if anyone can knock out a goodun, then its you bud.

Sean, i saw your scratched floaters. You are just too clever by half. Very nice stuff indeed. I think you need to give Sarge a boot up the ar#e, he seems to be falling behind on the Ship building head to head. Might have something to do with the fact hes half way through his 262 already. Geez the mans a machine.

Voidses. As long as your here in spirit and check in now and again, take as long as you like. Im sure the GB isnt going to end any time soon. If you get the chance post a pic of where your at. We love piccies here, just as long as there of the model and not of yourself in a nuns habit or suchlike. Eh Jeremy?

Luftwoller I'm still building on my mc. 202 from time to time. Ever since I moved a month or so ago I'v only been able to build on a few select weekends when I go "home". It's annoyingly close to completion and it's most difficult to leave it back home when the only thing that's left is a little detail paint and final assembly. The abstinence is trying to kill me but I manage Sad [:(]

I'll post pics when it's ready.

Guy I'm still here. I did some more late night work on the G-55. I'm at the point that is usally the most enjoyable part of the build. Adding all of the fiddle bits one at a time. As I go about this theses small parts are of such low quality they are really bringing the level of this model down. I know why this kit was bashed by FSM so much when they compared it to the Special Hobby release. The main gear doors are way out of scale. The gear detail is soft and the actuator rods are just straight peices of rod. I am going to try and finish it up tonight. No point in try to turn a sows ear into a silk purse when I have the Special Hobby kit that old Sarge gave me to build. I think it is time to just glue on whatever is left and move on.

What should I tackle next Guy? The Pacific Coast 1/32 Macci C202 or the Special Hobby 1/48 G-55? I can't decide. The 262 GB does not start until the end of the month so we have some time here.

Well, whats the answer Sir Bondlikins of Italy.

Its getting a bit thin on the ground in here. I hope there are still plenty of builds on the go. My next RA is going to be the G12 but 1st ive still gotta finish the Corsair (2-3 days ish), then its on to Franks 262 GB for my 1a/U4. So hopefully Ill be Reggying in no time. Oh yeah, i have another Weekend madness to fit in at some point.

Woo hoo, i love this hobby
