For updates: could yo guys alert me to any mistakes / ommisions / flat-out dumb things? It's so hard to update a roster when you havn't been around for a while! My bad.

Also, I'll be building a humvee w/TOW on top, but I'm thinking of turing it into the transitionary vehicle between humvee and Warthog from Halo. I'm already busy with the suspension. Pics cvoming soon.

About these kits, are we still with it on this? Has anyone recieved a kit from someone for a compl;eted build? Again, I have to get back on my feet.

(Please correct the roster to the best of your knowledge.Thanks.)

Boba the M113 is no longer on the roster. It is a diorama involving the Panther And Sdkfz 221. The M12 is on its own.
Also I'm am going on a 7 week hiatus this sunday. So Im probably done for now

hey Boba you're going to have to change my build, my mom was looking at my dio, and broke it..... So I'm going to go to my LHS today and getting a new build. I suppose it is just as well, that 1/72 stuff was WAY too small for my taste!

Thanks, Jim

Sorry for being inactive, I was in Sweden with my dad...   And my god all the war history we got!!! I'll get pictures up.. But I tell you, it was ALOT of WWII...!

For my build, it's a DAK Kübelwagen Rommels Fieldpost. Altough it will only be the Kübelwagen.

Jim, 1/72 is too small for one that is 12? Comeon!  I like 1/72, and I'm old!!!

Ok, I got back from my LHS with my new stuff. I picked up Dragon 1/35 Orange box Panzer IV(I can see the pieces now!) bad 1/72! Also I didn't want to put it into a diorama, but I did get Dragon's 1/35 scale winter panzer riders to put on the back of the tank.

Thanks, Jim

*Old for this GB!

Looking forward to see the Orange box Panzer IV Smile [:)]

Have you already opened it? If not, could I get a picture with the lid just off? Would like to see how it's packed...

And please, take a picture of the box (Not boxart, but the box)... Would like to see the dimensions... :)   And is there anything on the underside as it is on other DML kits?

No worries.. I always open my boxes as I get them too!!!

But here's a new update on our North African ride.

Here's the back of the seats... You all can see those bleedin' ejector pinmarks? Removing these was a real bugger. Thank god it's only two seats!

Here's the seatframe, the lower part.. You can see one ejector pinmark on the lower middle beam this, and a little tiny one on the bracket infront... I've already started sanding here, but you can still see it. The small one didn't need removal as the seat itself would cover it entirely:

Here's the big one removed, and the tiny one is a bit more visible:

Here's the back of the seat all cleaned.. Phew!!! That was a bugger to clean!!

But all this scraping did leave quite alot of plastic dust and such on the part.. Easily cleaned like this:

None glued to the car yet, but here the seats are done:

The rear bumper too. Here you can see the box behind the hooks making them easier to glue:

Here's the enginecompartment door.... What do you see up in the corner? Yes, me + knife + no focus...!

How to fix it, and make new hinges? Well, we carefully glue a piece of white plastic card ontop, let the glue set, and then sand down, and carve out the hinges:

I feel that I'm getting a little too bad at photographing, as I had to do the same thing on another door.... Meh...

I am currently in the paintingstage, but I have yet to photograph it, and my next photo will be my first since the last you saw here! I'm horrible right now, I know.. Sorry!

Hope you enojyed it, comments and questions are appriciated.

there are the rules of course you can't offically get your license before your 17, but your allowed to solo when your 16.

Yeah, I love flying, that's one of the reasons I am in CAP! I have only flown once before though.

CAP stands for Civil Air Patrol, a para military organization and the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, and I have only been flying once but I was at the controls for it except for take off and landing.
