                        i'm gonna have 2 build something like it one of these days !

                        as 4 me, i am beginning 2 realize the magnitude of the task i have set 4 myself,

                        I have another question. My kit came with P.E. parts. What is the best way to glue them down without leaving a big mess. Keep in mind this is 1/72 so the pieces are extra super small. Thanks. Cool [8D]

                        CA glue is the best way to attach PE, IMO.
                        Use a pin or a small piece of wire to "pick up" a small amount of glue and apply it to the PE and set it in place on the model. You can clean any overrun with the back of a #11 blade.

                        boybuddho - I may not know what a neophyte is but I do know that you have some talent when it comes to modeling.

                        Well, I repaired my scratch in the turret and the other three small ones I found on the back deck. Now I'm back on track or should I say I'm on to the tracks, Indy tracks. I thought it was pain in the butt to clean up 12 road wheels. 79 track blocks and like 158 end connectors and that's just one sideBanged Head [banghead]
                        So needless to say my progess has slowed a little.

                        Dan - looks better each and every day ... you're really rocking on this build !!!

                        Update from my end. Remember way back when when I said I was going to build the Ram OOB. Well ..... I may have stretched the OOB part just a little bit. After digging further into the S-Models box, finding it lacking in many details, missing parts left and right, and some generally poor moldings, this whole build took an entirely different direction.

                        So here are the latest pics of the Ram.
                        Now manufactured by S-Models / Italeri / Tamiya / DML / Shermanfreak

                        Few more small pieces to go on, but generally ready for the first coat of paint.

                        Here is a real quick photo of some more progress on the Sherman. It is only the first step of many to come in the weathering process. I was wondering if any of you had any advise or good sites that show how to make Sherman tracks look realistic.

                        Hey Is anyone building the Tamiya M4A3 Early Model??? If they aren't or even if they are Thats what I will build if its not to late to get in to this. I have about 3 days worth of work left on a 251 Ausf D. Halftrack and then I will be starting my Sherman.

                        Oh no!

                        No work again tonight (meeting scheduled!)... Bummer. Still working on the tranny / differential housing / final drive assembly.. detailing and what ever. As that goes on, I'm adding exterior hull details. Also made a mold for radiator castings today.

                        That's 'bout it.
