I think it was my wife's special bar-b-que marinade.

Step1: Soak the tank in the marinade for 24 hrs.
Step 2: Put in oven at 150 deg C for 15 minutes or till golden brown.

LOL.

Well I wish it was. Ha-ha-ha.

Sorry about that Sherm, the Bird Flu scare in nearby Vietnam and Hongkong really dragged the prices of chicken and we have been having lots of grilled or oven roasted chicken lately. Hmmmmmmm. Is it lunchtime yet?

A couple quick pics while the vicadin lets me. Sad [:(] The first is my "quick and dirty" transmission, doesn't look too good in this shot but with the upper hull in place it is enough to make it look like something is inside! Tongue [:P]
The second is a shot of the upper hull awaiting PE light gaurds, had a bit of trouble with those hatches. Angry [:(!]

Don't think I'll be doing much for the next couple days until I get used to the meds.

Claymore: Good progress on that M4.

Dan: I am just kidding about the marinade. Just happy I guess that I managed to salvage my shermie from being too darkly weathered and looking like a toasted bread.

Dwight, Looking great mate. Hope all that grilled chicken doesn't add a few pounds to the waistline.

First there was Bambi. Venison went off the menu.
Then there was Babe; That killed off the pork industry for a while.
Then there was Mad Cows disease. Bye, bye beef.
Now we have Bird flu and the wife says no to chicken.
If anything happens to lamb, she'll make us all vegatarian.Laugh [(-D]
(Sherm, whats the address of that ribs place of yours, delivery to Australia may be a bit exy, but it maybe my only choice Dinner [dinner])

Derek, I agree with you about it not being the accuracy and detail of the whole interior component, but what is visible. Test fitting the Achilles hull components( the kit comes with an interior) shows little can be seen of the driver's and radio operator's areas, especially with the gun facing directly forward.

Should have been finishing the Panther, but got stuck into the Achilles - in trouble now. Sprayed inside, red primer and off white mist coat, in preparation for wash and detail painting. Upper hull nearly completed including sanding off the tool location outlines which are incorrect for a Brit vehicle. Weld seams added and some detail work done as well. Will post some pics when interior is finished and extewrior is completed for painting.

Pete:

Tony Roma's just about 300 meters from the office (or used to). The entire commercial block was renovated and I don't know if it is still there. Yeah...ribs!

BTW pete, I am just at 120 lbs with a 29 inch waistline so I guess it will take lots of chicken to fill up this frame to dangerous levels. LOL.

so it must be connected on the top, and fastened on the bottom, huh??

uhhh, robert, how often do you eat at tony roma's??? if its at least once a week, I can see why you'd stick to chinese buffets the rest of the time....... with our family its usually a once a year thing. (I never knew restaurant cashiers could print that many digits in the total Big Smile [:D]Wink [;)]) jk

Does any one know a great way to make small 1/72 scale sand bags. I've seen the one floating around the armor forum now. That is one possibility, but I was just curious if anyone else had another way.

I've always used 2-part epoxy puty to make mine. After combining the two elements, I roll out a snake of putty to the approx width of the sandbags I want. Then I cut them to length, make a little tuck in the ends with a toothpick and press them onto the model. Then I take a course material and press it onto the putty just to give it a little texture. Allow it to dry and paint as desired.

I remember your pic way back when Bill and Robert first dared show themselves. 54 kgs with 74 cm waistline; yeah I used to be that size....when I was a teenager! Now I'm 80 kgs with a 92 cm waist line.

Anyway back to the topic - just spilt the wash all over the inside of the achilles. Paper towel got most, but I'm still a bit annoyed with myself. Should have waited 'til Mr 4 year old went for a nap instead of rushing things between his TV shows - Lesson learned. No great damage, but no more work on the beast til it dries properly.

I suggest you stay with the metric for weight and go with good ole INCHES for the waistBig Smile [:D]

I did have an attending physician at a hospital I was working in that was a Scot. one day he looked at me and asked if I agreed that a cwertain patient weighed 3stone 10 hmm I think I may start giving my weight out in stonesWink [;)]
