Just compared to Xratcrylix XA1004 RAF Dark Sea Grey BS638.  XF-53 is the right sort of mix, but a bit too light.  XF-24 is too 'green', and too dark, but, I'd say 3/5 XF-53 and 2/5 XF-24 should be about right.

Although to be quite honest, it looks more blue in a lot of pics...then again, I'm colorblind, so don't listen to me! Dead [xx(]

What paints will you use for British DSG?  Maybe I can advise, as I've a large range, some specifically British DSG

Alright sir, put myself and BrownEyes down for a pair of 1/72 Fujimi Harriers. Got some sort of white metal seats to throw in the 'pits, and 2 ModelDecal sets to mark for Falklands Islands skirmish birds.

Now I need to figure out what color "British Dark Sea Gray" is!Sigh [sigh]

Dougams, that looks like a pretty ambititious project for a weekend.

Here are some pics of my build, the old Revell 1/28 DR.1

First the lovely end opening box, always a joy.

And now the plastic, redder than Red Square on May day....Cool [8D]

Here are a few shots of what i am planning to use for this GB.  Glueing the sand paper over the jewel case for a base and then i'll start digging through my spares bin for a table and some tools.  Hopefully I will be able to make a repair shop setting for my jeep. The only thing that worries me is if I can paint some decent figs in the time allowed.

Guy,

I'm not sure who or where I picked it up from.  Probably some cheeky fellow here in one of the GB forums.  At least he wasn't dressed as Tri-guy.Yuck [yuck]  Trying to burn that image out of my head but don't have a flamethrower big enough.

Luckily I snagged my Serotta before the price of TI went through the roof...had that bike for almost 5 years now...hit 22,000 miles on her earlier this summer. Thumbs Up [tup]

Razor - I'd stress the "yet" part of your comment - it's coming! Snowed here on Sunday. Meh. Disapprove [V]

Bondo, pull the other one, this kit wasn't released until 1957!Wink [;)]

Dave, I'll post some pics of this kit in all it's lurid redness when I get a chance!

Needless to say I will be doing von Richthofen's red machine.

Now I just need to find a 1/28 Snoopy to shake his fist at it.

Thats a really good choice. When I built mine I was probably 14 years old and did it in an afternoon. Of course, paint was not a factor...
