No Frank, they're all stark raving nutcases. 48 hours is no joke, but here's the rub. it's pathetic to build the kit with any less finess, care or quality than you would normally expend. Speed doesn't count in sex, drinking alcohol, praying and building models.

Ah, the cool voice of reason.  Thanks Bill, good to see there's one who's not completely off their rocker. Approve [^]

Ok now we need to think about this last comment by Frank.  Cool voice of reason? One who's not completely off their rocker?  and this is referencing Billy Bondo?  Heck I need a shot after considering that!

Sir Bill of Bondoness I shall do my best to use the same finess, care and quality that I normally expend.  Don't drink much. Back hurts too much for sex. The only prayer I do  on a daily basis is to do his will. Figured that's about all that will come of it anyways and I build models cuz as a child I thought war was horrible and if they could use toys to fight em no one would have to leave home and get hurt or killed.  Pretty odd that a kid with that wish spent 21 years active duty eh?

Anyways 48 hours is the equivilant of six 8 hour work days.  So If you spend 8 hours a day on a model for 6 days it doesn't sound so bad does it. Besides your missing the most important part. Can I really do it?  A challenge self imposed and besides I don't want to spend a bunch of doe on extras on the Grand Slam. Saving that for the other version!

Now  are we going to challenge ourselves and rise to the occassion! Push the limits! Learn and improve our skills with the limited time we have?  Or take the safe bet. Oh sure you may die an old man in your bed being a cautious sort but will you have really lived. Life was meant to be exciting and dynamic! That is what makes it so precious. The mundane insults my spirit and aggrivates me except on those few occassions I can enjoy it as a peaceful moment.

Besides what if it takes 49 hours or gosh even 50?  Would it make anyone less of a friend here?  Heck I don't think any less of anyone who never finished in reality but rejoice in the attempts and marvel at those that have done such great work using imagination and resourcefulness not so much the big $ extra parts!  That is what I personally like to see and strive to emmulate!

Now Frank gosh dern it entertain me!  Ya think we are gonna live forever!

Get him Buddy!  Some one give Bondo a shot!  Stark Raving nutcases?!?  I'll take that to being what these so called sane people have for a soul anyday thankyou very much!

A fine example of how speed does indeed count Dave!

Dave,

Meant to say this Sunday.  The 1/144th AC-130H is a fairly simple kit with a simple paint scheme.  Be about the size of a 1/72 medium bomber.  Now having said that, the Fort Worth Alliance Airshow is at the end of the month and the C-17 Demo Crew is scheduled to perform.  That may change my mind.  If I go C-17, will have to get a bigger display area.

Frank,

Don't let Mac and the other boys get to you.  You just go ahead and build your little six piece model, it'll be alright.Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Buddy- Those who say there are no stupid questions have never worked in customer service.

That was the meds talking er yep that was even a wee bit much for Guy to attempt there!

What was your excuse? Laugh [(-D] I am serious about the landcaster. I have that Grand Slam one I want to do oob!  But all the resin and PE will have to wait until we can concentrate on the BIII. How cool!

Alright boys, leave poor Frank alone.  That V-2 looks like a big giant spinner and you know how Frank loves his spinners.  You are perfectly welcome to enter the V-2 if you want Frank.  Don't let those other two Plonkers tell you otherwise.

Thanks Dave, I guess it's not all your fault today.  Glad to see someone missed the memo about "POFD". Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Aaron- You make Frankie scared! Shock [:O]  I know you're serious, whattcha gonna build after that one?  A V-2?  Then a 109?  And a 262 as a grand finale?

Dave-

OK, I looked at my 109 and I am thinking I'll never finish that one in 48 hours!

Seeing as how I built the 1/48 V-1 for the first 48 hour GB, this time I will build the Pegasus 1/48 V-2.  Can you update my build please? Big Smile [:D]

Hmmph!!!  Any excuse not to build in divine scale eh Frank!  Sad [:(] Wink [;)]

Well look at that! Calling us PLonkers when he started the whole thing! Once again we know who is at fault here don't we? Mischief [:-,]

Karl that was great! A 262 V@ Mistel model! Awesome! Laugh [(-D]

I am good the national Pick on Frank day was yesterday!  Must find a new victim. Don't want to get too much of a good thing going there do we.  That V-2 does build into a good looking model.

Might try one myself.... Whistling [:-^]  Dave why have you not added my Tamiya Landcaster to the front page? Do you not believe me? You should know better than that!

Never a dull moment Fupes!  I am awake and on the coffee!  Man those or some odd pain pills for the back.  Must work though look how quick they cured Elvis and Micheal Jackson! Dead [xx(]

Hmmm did I say I was doing a Lancaster?  Well it was a surprise but Dave got FRAnk all worked up so I spilled the beans.

Frank?  No hard feelings I hope.  Glad to see your putting more thought into it though from the looks of it more felt the same way but I was the only one under the influence enough to rant!

 Perhaps one of these! ?

I remember this build,

that was back in the day when Frank was allowed to play with us in the RA GB. Oh, what fun times, aaahhh.

As for your build Aaronster, why not go with the same as Frank. 4 bits and some dodgy transfers, Youll probably finish it in some Zen manner...Open the box and itll be completed. At least it will seem like that with all the pills your on.

You do realise that the last 6 weeks have all been a dream!. Like old Bobbys shower scene in Dallas. Your goiung to come too and there will be no Italian cruiser, or submarine, or 262. And youve probably wet the bed. Or was that me? Can never tell. Oh and why am i here on the pc and not building the bent winged millstone. These quwestions and many more will be answered soon......probably by Bondo, in his own inimitable fashion.

Oh golly there is like maybe what 6 parts to it?  Oh I am busting a gut!!!!!!!

Perhaps I am being a bit harsh though.  Let me think about Franks skill level? Perhaps that is a reasonable build?  Lets me see Frank makes models like what? Like these?

and leaves people looking like this?

So I have to ask myself again? Am I being harsh? Looking above I see some award winning stuff and don't get me going on the tanks and other stuff Frank can do and has done.

So not harsh! Tough love! I say!  Push yourself! Take a jump into the darkness and know that all of us laugh because a bad build by Frank is probably still 300% better than what I could come up with!

To you Frank! Make a Toast [#toast] Don't fret! Dave will let you have the V-2 as your second build during the same 48 hrs! Mischief [:-,] Now take off those tight dungeries and let em hang mister! Censored [censored]Bow [bow]

Hey do you remember if I was supposed to take the red pill or the green and blue one tonight?
