Just finished going through the last three or four pages and updated all the builds.  If I missed anyone please give me a shout.

There are some fantastic efforts and builds going on here.  Too many for me to mention individually at this point but I am awed and impressed with everyone's talent and enthusiasm.  Bow [bow]Bow [bow]Bow [bow]

Katie, welcome aboard!!!  Please make sure Frank charges those batteries and doesn't hurt himself again will ya?  Looking forward to the Tempest.

I got a bit of a start already, no pit on this kit but found a seat and a pilot in the spares box which is all that will be seen.  Think I am going to do this one wheels up but we'll see.  I'll post some pics shortly.

I'm now finished for today (but will be back again this evening), thats another 7 1/2 hours work today, It's just gone 4:30 pm, and it's time to get dinner organised for me and the family.

the oil wash went down, and dried a treat, I even used oil paint on the wooden handles of the pioneer tools. then flash dried it with Testors dullcote.

I've just finished the tracks, and the glue can dry over this break, then I can remove them and give them some finishing touches. I think one more good session, and the build should be finished (although I shouldn't count my chickens just yet). So it looks like another marathon session this evening.

dougums -  I will write a bit of a review of the kit once I get it finished (I did notice the one sitting on your bench in the photos), Andrew also has one he is going to build. That will give me something to do while I'm sitting around eating popcorn tomorrow.

Looking good here everyone! Thumbs Up [tup]

Aaron- That Tamiya primer really is good, isn't it?  Thanks for turning me onto it. Approve [^]  How much coffee have you had today?

I have managed to get all of the parts off of the sprues, and cleaned up the prop and painted the tips.  Added some Tamiya tape seatbelts and painted the engine.  Went to take some pics, and the camera batteries were dead after leaving the camera on from the last pics!

Sign - With Stupid [#wstupid]

I tell ya... someone has got to watch me every second. Sigh [sigh]  I'll post some pics tomorrow am, night all! Zzz [zzz]

Well, a little over and hour in and have sprayed all the parts with Mr. Surfacer 1000 and applied Future to the clear parts.

Got interupted for vacuum duty as my father in-law is coming over tommorow. No biggie though need to get out of the workshop while the Mr. Surfacer dried and it aired out. Love that stuff but man it stinks! LOL.

See ya

Every one's build is coming along quite nicely, I'm still trying to follow every one. I can't keep up! Any way, here's where I'm at at 12:36 Am Saturday morning in beautiful southern New Jersey

Construction is complete. Now for paint. I didn't do any pre painting except for whats in the cockpit. I don't know if that will hurt me in the long run, we shall see. The only thing I didn't attach is the ordnance. That will wait til later. I'm going to putty a little then go to bed, early day tomorrow.

Every one is looking good even at this intense pace. I see why its called 'weekend madness' now.

I got the wings attached.  As you can see there are gaps but it appears that I should be able to fill them without sanding.  I decided to leave the drop tanks and rockets off.  As for the mounting holes, I'll putt some sprue in them and sand smooth.  This Airfix kit has the looks and shape of a Wildcat but there are a bunch of stuff is missing but hey it should look the part.  I'll sand and paint the interior and then prime it in the morning.

Good work so far everybody! Mia and I are packing it in for the night after 8 hours and fifteen minutes of bench time. All of the assembly is finished (!) on the two Harriers, and they're down in the basement with the first coat of primer drying now...will hit them with another one before I go to bed.

Unfortunately we can't post pics from here at home, but I'll be able to do some tomorrow around lunch. The schedule says that the pre-decal future coat will be drying by then. Let's hope so! Wink [;)]

Dang that is some nice quick work Mac, I got about two hours good work in here and then family stuff intruded. I dont think I will be able to continue until Sunday afternoon as I am leaving town bright and early tomorrow AM and wont be back till then. I ended up starting an Acdemy 1/48 Thunderbirds F-16. It should go quickly once I have time to work. So far I have built the cockpit and a few sub assemblies and done some interior painting.

Majority of the decals are on.  Had some issues with the decals on the hood scoop.  Next time I'll know....

Much more to do but I'm tired and my eyes are tired so I'm done for the day.

Got kinda Quiet! Slackers!!!!!!   Ceptin Hellcat!  and the dude with the jeep. LOL! There is no sleeping!  No Loving Just mad passionate building!!! Or in my case sanding..... Banged Head [banghead]

This kit comes with regular old fashoned unpainted canopies as well so I covered them with a liquid mask, white glued em in place and they are my masking of the open areas for painting till I am finished!

The fuselage had a long and uneven seam it's whole length. High and low so it took some work to get it looking right. But after some elbow grease  it is finally coming together! The Fuse halfs are joined and I think things will pick up quickly now until I get closer to the finish!

Gotta love Mr Surfacer and Tamiya primer! Thumbs Up [tup]

Here is where i'm at now the Jeep.  It is WAY to clean.  The MG needs a few washes.  I finished the base.  It is a piece of sand paper painted grey.  After it dried I gave it white and burt umber washes.  Then stained it up and applied pigments.  I am happy with the way it came out. While that dried I assembled and cleaned up the two figures.  Tomorrow i will weather the jeep.  The rest of the day will go to figure, work bench, and tool painting.  Along with various workshop clutter, and even a widdle doggie.

Photobucket" border="0" />

Aaron - I'd say i'm about half way done ... but you sir have your work cut out for you.  The crew looks great. I can't wait to see pics of the wiring.

Frank - The egg planes always made me giggle. I can't wait to see it.

Bob - Looking good.  It reminds me of a '67 my brother had.

oddman - Looks like you have a solid start, keep up the good work.

Neu - Looks great!  Can't wait to see the alclad shine Cool [8D]

wyoroy - That is some small pieces your working with.  I am eagerly awaiting pictures.

KJ200 - That was my first aircraft kit.  It sure is big.  How is the flash on your kit.  If i remember right mine was a disaster.

Brett - I am doing that kit for next months Winter Warriors 2.  How does the sprue jig hold up.  I've never used on of 'em before and I am kinda scared.

Well i'm going celebrate a good day at the bench with a few beers.  Keep up the good work everyone. Make a Toast [#toast] Cheers

Looking good everybody.

Been told by the kids they want a BBQ tonight so I've had to work in the garden all morning and still need a couple more hours before I can get back to the harrier, oh well the joys of the wetest winter and spring in 50years, I guess not all of Australias in drought and heat waves Brett ;)

Moving along here

I've got my road wheels, cables and pioneer tools paited. (paint kept skinning up on the brush). and have just finished decaling. I'm about to hit it with an (oil paint) wash... making use of this hot weather, it should only take an hour or so to dry. that will allow me some time to get back onto the track assembly.

Had a few things pop up and I may have to put the 262 & 163 on holdSad [:(]

I used tube glue on the fusalage and it's taken longer to dry.  Got the wheels and prop ready.  Now I have to stop to spend some family time time.  Those of you with a five year old understandWink [;)]  I hope to get the wings and what attached tonight.

Hi all, been a long day at work and I have to go out again so I won't get started until late tonight.  I had a quick scan through the last couple of pages and will update all the builds/changes later tonight.  Keep up the great work everyone and I'll check back in a couple of hours.

Frank, the egg plane is cool Cool [8D] but I expect the pilot to be wearing an optivisor!  Big Smile [:D]

Fifteen more minutes here at work, then I can resume this madness! Aaron, your build is looking real good so far! On account of a lack of time, I didn't detail the interior of the A-7's cockpit. There is virtually no detail at all (just a seat and a pilot), so I would have spent most of the night scratching it out which I can't afford to do. Hey, look at the time, only 12 minutes left now. I'm getting antsy.
