So what you need to do is post 14 planes and 1 car, that way we are shore to pick the car. Wink [;)]  Honestly bring on the autos. Cars, trucks, rigs, motorcycles, scooters, construction equip, snowmobiles, stockers, dragsters, lowriders, and high-railers. Got a Cord convertable? How bout a Dusenberg or an old Tryumph or Indian? That would rule. Just post 15 things you want to build and then you won't be sad about what gets picked.

I'm new to this forum and would possibly join this build, it looks fun.  But I'm mostly an automotive modeler and it looks like everyone is building aircraft.  Has anyone done a car (or bike) on this GB?

Some great lists posted already.  Decisions are going to be hard yet again.

Okay, put my list together today.  I've kept some big ones out as my Snowberry build will be dragging on into next year so I don't want to overdo it.

Steve, Kinetic makes it and is a brand new release.  There have been several threads on multiple forums discussing it, and became one of the more highly anticipated releases in awhile.

There's also a kit review over on Hyperscale.

http://hyperscale.com/2009/reviews/kits/kinetic48013reviewbg_1.htm

I ordered mine from Lucky Model since they had the lowest price.  Still somewhat salty, but what the heck.  It'll look so darn cool once built!

My hat's off to all these diverse kit lists.  Make it great fun to pick from.  Unfortunately, I'm more of the traditional "been-built-to-death" guy.  I'm just lame that way. Big Smile [:D]Whistling [:-^]  This year, I will say I have more jets in the list since many have been languishing for some time in the stash.

Without further adieu, all in 1/48:

1. Revell A-10

2. Tamiya F4U-1A

3. Hasegawa F-4E

4. Hasegawa A6M5

5. Revell F-15C

6. Italeri Tornado F3

7. Italeri BAe Hawk T.1

8. Italeri A-4E/F

9. Monogram AD-6

10. Monogram F-5E

11. Revell F-14D

12. Hasegawa Fw-190A-8

13. Revell Bf-109G-10

14. Tamiya F-16CJ

15. Kinetic E-2C

The last one is on it's way to me as I write this.

Cheers!

Nice! Some good lists are already up. I already have some good ideas for how to torture..... uh, what I'd like to see built. Big Smile [:D]

Ok, after much debate I think I have my 15 victims. I eliminated anything I have already started and anything too big for me to have a place to put it. So no Saturn V or B-36 or B-52 or B-17 or huge Seaplanes this time. Sorry guys. Out of what was left I tried to put in a cross section of what I like to build insted of just 15 Japanese planes. Hopefully there is "something for everyone" here. Vote early, vote often! Can we vote often?  Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Academy   Cessna A-37b Dragonfly  1/72

This will be all bombed up good.

Arii   Mitsubishi Type 100 Reconnaissance Aircraft Ki-46-2 "Dinah"  1/72

Will do the cover Aircraft. I forget what Sentai this is.

Azur   Arsenal VG 36   1/72

Beautiful sleek little fighter. Think D520 meets Mc202. Only 2 built. Has some photoetch for cockpit.

Estes   Balistic Artillery Rocket M31 Honest John   1/9

The early version with the larger fins and 30Kt warhead. This is a big model and it flies!

Glenco Models   3 Stage Ferry Rocket   1/288

Hasegawa   Showa Type D Transport Aircraft L2D "Tabby"   1/200

Dc-3 built in Japan with Japanese engines.

Hasegawa   Panavia Tornado Gr Mk.1   1/72

Will do "Armored Charmer" From the Gulf War. Nice nose art.

Hobby Boss   Fairchild A-10a Thunderbolt 2   1/72

Expect this one to be fully racked as well.

Italeri   Kamov Ka-50 "Hokum"   1/72

Will do the Warewolf demonstrator version.

Mach 2   Douglas Thor-Able Pioneer   1/48

Early U.S. Satelite and probe launcher.

MPM   Mitsubishi Experimental Rocket Powered Interceptor J8N1 Shusui   1/72

Has resin and PE interior.

RPM   Type 79 Tankette Ko-Gata   1/72

Special Hobby   Vultee Vengeance Mk I/II in RAAF Service  1/72

Will do "Lest We Forget". Some very nice Austrailian eye candy.

Tamiya   Aichi Special Bomber Training Aircraft M6A1-k Nanzan   1/72

I have 2 of these so I need to decide which paint version to do.

Testors   Gloster Javelin   1/72

An oldie, but still a goodie.

There they are, hope you like something.

Geez, I only have about 15 that aren't committed to GB's. Here goes, and I'd be more'n happy to build as many of them as I can in a year.

These are all aircraft, and they are all 1/72. AM stuff is rare and only where I made a note of it.

Hasegawa SP-5B Martin Marlin

Academy KC-97L Tanker

Hasegawa H8K2 "Emily"

Academy B-50D Superduperfortress

Italeri B-26K Invader

Heller Nord 2501 Noratlas. This'd be IAF

Mach 2 Sud SE-210 Caravelle. United Airlines decals.

Mach 2 Vickers Valiant

Italeri C-119C Flying Boxcar. This'd be Earthquake McGoon's CIA bird at Dien Bien Phu.

Academy B-377 Stratocruiser

Airfix L-1049 Super Constellation- This one is slated for an EC-121 using Ozmod resin bits.

Airfix BAC TSR-2

AMT XB-35

Heller E-3B

Matchbox Heyford. I've got a trick set of brass Lewis guns.

Thanks for looking!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION for IMS4 MEMBERS
This first page of this thread has been updated with information regarding IMS4 voter registration.  Please, everyone read for details on how to setup your account and submit your stash list.   The information is duplicated here, for reader convenience.

For those that have already sent me PM's, please hold tight.  I am working to setup the voting system, and I will respond with your account information as soon as it is ready.

Here we go again, fellas!

VOTE SYSTEM REGISTRATION
Everyone that has signed up for this GB: your first order of business is to send me a PM with your email address so that I can register you for IMS4 voting.

(1) PRIVACY
Your email address will be kept safe and secure by me alone.  I wish that I did not require it, but the voting system will not allow me register users without it.  All information is stored on my server, and is promptly deleted after voting is completed.

(2) About the IMS4 VOTING SYSTEM
The "voting system" is simply a web forum (like FSM) in which "poll-threads" will be created for each IMS4 member.  You will need to have a log-in account to cast votes.  Your username and password will be created by me, and provided to you via PM.

(3) IMS4 VOTE SYSTEM LINK
The IMS4 voting system is UNDER CONSTRUCTION.  The web address will be made available via PM after your account has been created.

(4) TEST VOTING
It is a requirement for every IMS4 participant to test-vote at least once so that hidden problems with the vote system or your account can be corrected before the official vote.  Attempts to fix accounts during the short election period could jeopardize the entire vote (via loss of data, etc.)

(5) YOUR STASH LIST
Please post your stash list in the IMS4 Group Build Thread at the FineScale forums.  I will create your personal poll-thread at the IMS4 Vote System and I will enter your kit information for you.  Afterwhich, you will be able to post pictures / comments in your thread.
NOTE PLEASE be very sure of your stash list when you post it at FSM.  Any subsequent changes that you make to your list will require significant added effort by me.  Thank you for understanding.

XB-70, deeve?  Oh, baby.  You have some other gems in there as well.

I don't know why I bothered posting anything other than the Valk. I am pretty sure that is what the vote will be for :)

I am really looking foreward to building it, I just want a reason. Its frigging huge. The box is enourmous. I got it as a christmas present last year. I love that plane. It is really something. I read a lot on it, simply amazing that it was made when it was and had the capabilities it did. True testament to american ingenuity.
