Good Monday everyone,

Checking in with an update on the Eduard Bf-109E-1 in 1/32nd scale, I've just about completed the minor scratch building touches on the cockpit:

Here is the pilot's right-side panel after clean-up:

And the same panel with minor details:

This guy here is the pillar on the pilot's left-side to which I've added T-handle controls for the engine instant-stop, ignition, and starter coupling controls:

And finally, the whole lot:

This is going to be fun to paint!

Happy Memorial Day!

Richie, "shake n bake" unless you give it to spike in which case you get a dogs dinner!! All going well again now.

Karl I've always used them before and been pleased with the results, tried something different this time and mucked up... hey-ho.... live and learn.

Gamera, stunning job on the Spit.

You've captured that care worn look that is spot on for BoB birn in my oppinion.

Spike, sorry hear about the troubles with your spit.

Have you used Gunze acrylics before?

If not you are in for a treat.

Mike, loving the camo!

I remember seeing this scheme in a book I had when I was a teenager, which means a long time ago, and thinking just how cool it looked then.

Looks even better on your build.

Karl

First off let me give a shout out to everyone here for all the great work, I'm floored by the quality of stuff you guys are cranking out.  Back at the bench after a month's hiatus in Japan. Propeller

A couple of minor disasters, dropped it  and broke the antenna mast off the tail and I put a split the canopy.  If you've got a big pile of masking tape you're going to wad up and throw away make sure the canopy didn't accidentally stick to it, ask me how I know this.   :o  Sent an email to Eduard inquiring about purchasing a replacement several weeks ago and still no reply.

Paint and future applied.  Jagdwaffe Vol. 2 Sec. 4 suggested a 70/02 for hashmarks and fill on the fuselage sides and 70/71 for the upper surfaces.  Paint is Gunze acrylic.

Thanks again guys, you're too kind Embarrassed

Actually the finish is kinda rough if you look closely at her, the photos don't really show it. Anyway as I said I've got a pile of stuff on the bench, somehow it's always easier for me to start something than to finish it. I'm just happy to get something finished.

Guys, finished the Spitfire last night:

There's still a few flaws with her but trying to clean them up I'd mess more up than I fixed. Also I used MiG pastels for the exhaust and gun stains. Most photos of BoB Spits I've seen showed them immaculate but I though she looks better with a little something there. I'm still new to the powders so they probably still need a little work yet.

Am still working on the figures, I suppose they're about half-way done so far:

Hi guys,

Sorry for not posting for so long, I've been on my jollydays and I got so busy before I left and never posted.

Jeremy your 109 came out looking a real beauty, a real nice finish, well done sir Yes.

Nomad congrats on the Anson, I really enjoyed watching you put her together and you did a fantastic job.

I also have had a few probs with my Spitfire, I was happy to be away from it for a couple of weeks but now I hope to get back to the bench in a few days.

Cheers....

satch_ip

Does Eduard make that in 1/48th also?

To the best of my knowledge there is no 48th incarnation of the Eduard 109 on the market at the moment.

Cheers
