Looking good fellas...

Trey does Revell make a dedicated night Stuka or are you doing a mod?

Looking good Trey, specially that IP!  Cool

Just a couple of quick update photos to show that I haven't been completely slacking.  The homemade canopy had a big gap on one side but it is pretty amazing what you can hide with some white glue and Mr Surfacer 500.  Ready for some squiggles at this point.

Sorry for your loss Greg.  Take care of those kids.  The models can wait for a quieter time but the kids can't.  They'll be grown and gone before you know it.

Good work fellas!  Sorry I have been absent of late.  Not to get personal, but my ex passed away a few weeks ago, and now I am the sole parent of a 10 and 12 year old.  That has kind of swallowed up my life recently, but I haven't forsaken this GB.  Things are starting to settle down, and I should be able to find some build time.  Sorry about the sob story, but I don't want you guys thinking I am blowing this GB off.

Mike, as for the F-117, I have never seen that.  That is cool.  It is still a nightfighter, so go for it.  I am looking forward to seeing more of your intruder.  I love the A-6 family.  After Corsairs, and Phantoms, I'd say they are my favorite.

Those of you who have done multiple builds, I was thinking of making a special "ACE" badge for anyone that hits five (or more).  What do ya'll think?

Thanks again for your patience and participation.

Cheers,

Greg

So youve mentioned before manny.

Wells its designed as a night ops aircraft. And at night its hard to see anything your brain tells you isnt there. doesnt matter what colour it is.

I was thinking of painting it in pre-production camouflage.

Something different.

Nice work on that cat. cant wait to see more.

Hey quick question.

If i paint an F-117 in daylight colours is it still considered a night hunter?

Hi Everyone,

Here are some more pics of the Black Cat.

Everyone's are looking great. Hope mine turns out as good.

I made a mistake and painted it before i put the 2 halves together, so, I'll have to spray it again.

Oh Well!  thats why the glass is masked off.

Great work all around guys!!!

If I may single out though:

Hercmerc: Good lookin' cockpit. I love the Tamiya Gekko, one of the best kits I've ever built.

Razor: Great lookin' model and nice save with your replacement canopy.

Work continues on the P-61. Sorry about the lack of updates but I've been more busy trying to finish off two other GBs.

Finally cleared my other projects off my bench and pulled out my 1/72 Dragon Ar 234 B that has been sitting half built in it's box for a couple of years.  Here is where it sits at the moment.

The Dragon kit has really nice detail but horrible fit issues.  The reason I abandoned it was the canopy had a major flaw in it and I didn't have the where with all to deal with it at the time.  I sanded down the canopy and used it as a mold to vacuum form a new one shown beside the kit one here.

Got quite a bit done tonight.  As soon as I get the canopies masked I can get some paint on it.

Satch, the 110 came out great!

Hercmech, greentracker, and scorpio mikey:  great progress.  I apologize for the lack of updates on mine.  No progress has been made, but I will fix that soon.

Cheers,

Greg

More photos.

Local 10c piece is about 10-12mmOD

Some gaps to fill

How it should look

CP without the coin

Where i joined the wing sections. This kits designed for wings up but i want it flying, so i sliced the hing details off. used some styrene strip and bass rod to reinforce it and then some styrene rod to recreate the hinge as is should look. Still a bit of work to go on it, but i think im getting there.

As always C&C welcome.

One interesting build with that Blackcat. That took a lot of weight to keep it nose down.

HI Everyone,

Here are a few more pics of the Black Cat WIP in mock up.  I had to put a "you know what load" of lead sinkers in the front to make it sit right on the landing gear.

Thanks Trey.

The Cannons are one of the reasons I like night fighters so much. I have yet to attach the barrels or drill out the bottom cannon slot in the fuselage... but I am getting there.

Here are some shots of the pit completed. I set the fuselage half on the wing piece to get a feel for how it will fit. As always comments welcome.

DoogsATX

Nice 110! I'm constantly amazed at everyone's ability with those goofy German radar antennae.

I've actually eyed Master's replacement...but they recommend soldering. My eyes hurt just thinking about it!

its not the soldering i'd dread, its making another Dragon Ju 88 again!! ARRGGG!
