Casper, you want to change to the Dragon Bf-110?  Is it the new "D" ?  I am eyeing that one big time too.  It looks really impressive.

I'll keep the Mossie but in the meantime I'll do the 110 until I can shell out $250+ without the wife finding out! Big Smile

Cheers

On the bench: A-4F 1/32 Hasegawa

Just deployed: F6F-5N Hellcat Nightfighter 1/48 Eduard

RAF is looking good!  Doogs, and Jbrady, your respective birds are looking great.  They are definetely in the home stretch.

Greentracker88, welcome aboard!  I read a short story years ago about the "black cats".  It was a cool story, and even though it was fiction, it gave a great account of how they operated.

Lewbud, F-82 it is.  It is a nice little kit.  I built one last year, and I really liked it.  I have another one in my stash that I plan to build.  When I do, I think I will source the Airwaves p.e. set , and some replacement canopies.  That would easily correct any short comings the kit has.

Casper, you want to change to the Dragon Bf-110?  Is it the new "D" ?  I am eyeing that one big time too.  It looks really impressive.

Satch, your 110 is looking good.  How has it built up for you?

Trey, what can I say?  Awesome as always.

I am still waiting for my paint to dry.  It has been days, but it still smells.  The liquid mask over silver came out good.  The leading edges look all chipped up.  If I missed any updates, please feel free to remind me.  I've been pretty busy the last couple of days.

Have a good weekend!

Cheers,

Greg

Hopefully my MIG pigments come today so I can get cracking on the exhaust shrouds.

And...pigments have arrived! Definitely in the home stretch now...with luck I'll be finishing up early next week.

Doogs: I think I figured out the tires... soft grass fields and heavy loads. In Alaska we called them tundra tires.

Gamera: It's all good... a few incantations, some incense, and a glass of scotch. I love it when I get a model on its tires.

 Hercmech:

JBrady...what can I say it sucks. Between you and Doogs, I am beginning to think there is a "dark" pall over this group build. Tongue Tied Makes me nervous as I proceed on with my Gekkou.

Hechmech,

Just keep those  Censored "dark pall" Censored thoughts to yourself. I'm not going there Zip it!

Cool Ken

Oh always with those negative vibrations man!!!!!!     WOOF!!! WOOF!!!

Gee guys, sorry to hear about all the pet problems. At least our dog is small and can't jump very high so if there's any disasters I have no one to blame them on but myself Embarrassed

Doogs: Despite your problems she looks great! Funny that's one of the few Second World War a/c I don't have in my stash, I'm going to have to remedy that situation.

Satch: I have to say it again- I HATE masking canopies. Looking good so far though

NFN: Wow, the Fiat is cool looking. Looking forward to more photos. I think she's the only biplane here.

Greentracker: I love the logo, the cat really looks POed! I wanna see some pics of the black cat! Wink

The tires on Beaufighters are the same... along with landing gear that looks like bridgework.

That Mossie looks great. Not my favorite airplane but you did a great job.

You know, it's not my favorite either. I've got mighty respect for it, but I doubt it'd crack my top ten.

But it does look cool with its MASSIVE tires mounted up...

Seriously, why were they so big? Were they just jacked off something else?

Also did some minor decal cleanup and applied a pinwash of lamp black to the few panel lines and access panels. The effect is extremely subtle (near unnoticeable, even!)

Hopefully my MIG pigments come today so I can get cracking on the exhaust shrouds.

Hi Gregbbear, it's gonna be a while before I get buy my 1/24 Mossie so in the meantime I spied a Dragon Bf-110 1/48 at my LHS. It looks like a beaut kit so can you please add it to the roster?

Cheers

Satch: It's canopies like that that justify the cost of pre-cut masks. Looking good.

Trey: It's fixable. The black plastic worked to my advanatage. Sanding the repaired seam left the plastic almost the same color as the rest of the build.

One thing I didn't notice was the damage to one of the roundels on the fuselage. I'll figure something out.

I'm not much for WIP pics, mainly because my MacBook doesn't have a card reader.  But Hauptman Schnaufer's mount is nearly done.  Spent all afternoon placing the canopy masks.

Gregbear,

Can you change my build to the Monogram 1/72 F-82?  Haven't procured the AC-130A yet and would like to reduce the stash a little.

So far it's only been the allied birds...I'm blaming the Luftwaffe!

Didn't we get a visit from a Field Marshal recently?

Yes we did and it was a cat that damaged the Beau was it not? And in a surprising stroke of genius it must have been a nonaggression pact with their arch enemy the dog to destroy that P-38. Hmmmm I smell something fishy.

Decaled up...

Had a bit of silvering on the ID markings...nothing too bad though and should be easily rectified and/or concealed.

Mossie mishaps, battered Beaufighters, pulverized P-38s.....oh, the humanity!!!

On the more positive side, I lurk here almost daily and there's definitely great stuff happening. Congrats to all! Toast  I'm just trying to clear bench space and some time to jump in with my Uhu.

oh man, that sucks jbrady!

On the bright side, at least with cats it's just the knock off the bench, not 80 pounds of yellow lab coming down on top of a kit...

Yeah, I remember that. This one is nowhere near that bad... just got the two B 25 kits... trying to resist the urge.
