Hello all,
A long overdue update on the 1/48 Panda F-35. But before I get to that let begin by saying great work so far everyone!
Casper, the SR-71 is top notch, especially the cockpit
P38 - The HO-229 turned out great. I love all the German jets as well as their paper projects. That one is on my list to build.
Steven, Nice work so far on the F-19. I remember when that kit first came out and it really fired up the imagination.
So on the the F-35. The kit is Panda's (out of business) 1/48 scale. From whar I've read it not accurate in shape or size but it looks good to me and for $15 I couldn't pass it up.
The kits is cleanly molded and from what I've read fits very well. The cockpit is very basis so I purchased a Eduard resin F-22 ejection seat.
Otherwise I plan to build the kit out of the box. In addition to the resin seat I took a screen shot of a mock up of the F-35 instrument panel, resized it, and glued to the kit IP.
I had to add some shims for the duct doors so they would fit flush with the fuselage.
That's all for now from the chilly Great Lakes.
