Len looking good so far nice job on the wiring.
jbrady the offices look great, intresting about the kits being so far apart in years yet so similar
Scratching the exhaust on the mills ,just need to fit in the head pipes all 54 of 'em yikes
Some progress on both 25's.
The top pic is the cockpit from the Monogram J model, the bottom is AM/Italeri D model. What's surprising to me is the similiarity of the enginering on kits designed 20 years apart. I guess Monogram got it right and there's no reason to reinvent the wheel. I like the injection molding on the Monogram IP over the AM version even though neither IP looks anything like a B 25 IP. The detail on the AM version is sharper and more delicate than the Monogram. Both cockpits need a wash and some drybrushing. Getting close to buttoning up both fuselages. The interiors of both of these kits have a lot of detail that won't be seen in the finished product.
redraider56 Pilot, add a Monogram 1/48 B-25J gun nose under my name. My current builds have been going ahead of schedule and the gun nose is just begging for a dio, so I think that's gonna be my winter project this year

Do tell.. A diorama for that bird would rock.. Actually, dioramas are my thing, so they all rock, lol.. But the B-25 offers SO many possibilties... Shep Paine's derelect B-25H in the desert was awesome work, and told a story with no figures, no action... Just a rattlesnake under a wing and an oil drum spray-painted with "No Trespassing"...
Got any specfic dio ideas you're willing to share?
Nice IP Len. The C-47 I'll be building also has the acetate film instrument faces. I'm trying to think of some way to back lite them and other areas of the interior of my Trumpeter kit. Maybe with fiber optics.

BTW P38jl -I spy a couple old Monogram white box P-47s inyour stash. Cool! Has it really been that long since those boxes were on the store shelves. Used to buy them even at my local Walgreens in the toy aisle.

B17Pilot Bish: Thats looking very nice Len. And love the wiring at the back of the IP. What did you use for that.

Hi All,
Got a little more cockpit work done on the G4M1 "Betty" between proms, school plays and concerts....
The PE IP with acetate dials....
I did a little plumbing on the rear of the IP...I think it`ll be visible thru the canopy...
Needs a little cleaning up.
PE lap belts and arm rests...have to paint the lap belts....
That`s it for now...hopefully I`ll be able to knock a bunch of work out tonight.
Thanks for looking,

I'll start on it as soon as I finish up the F6F for the Ally cat GB and a Halls Bulldog for the Racer GB . The Hellcat will be going into paint pretty soon and the Bulldog is a fairly simple build so it shouldn't be too long.
I'll probably build OOB since the kit is pretty well detailed with a fair amount of PE . I was looking for an excuse to build it as the box was taking up a good deal of storage space in the stash.LOL Looking forward to sharing it here.
Actually had several I was thinking of but, everybody's got a soft spot for the ol' Goony Bird.

Casper I have used Alclad a couple of times now and really likeing it. But i have only primed with gloss black. I didn't realise i could get difefrent finishes by useing different colour primers. I really like the results you have got there, thansk for that tip. Going to have to try that one
Would like to get in on this with Trumpeter's 1/48 C-47.
TREYYZX10R - That's looking sweet
RedRaider - your B-25 has been added
I made some minor progress, test fitted the office and got the mills painted
Thanks for all the advice. I'm leaning toward SNJ because it's enamel and can be tiinted to different shades with gloss enamel paints... I do like the results you guys are getting with ALCLAd though.
