Early 80s was when the change over in colors occurred. And yes, your missiles looked good in white, I bet that with the decals on now they look great.

Before you add the decals, you should repaint your Sidewinders in Light Ghost Gray 36375. The ones used during the Falklands War were not white from any of the photos which I have seen.

Arrgghhh.....decals went on before I saw you post. And I checked my instructions and they were indeed meant to be FS36375. I've made a few AIMs i white lately so I think I had a brain fart and misread the instructions. Oh well can't change them now but they sure look good!

Cheers

Slow progress on the Harrier. getting all of the geeblies sorted slowly.

AIMs turned out well. I'm getting better at airbrushing gloss white but it's still a PITA! Did the tips in magnesium, makes a nice contrast. Next decaling for them;

Cheers

Entering the home stretch on this build. Got the decaling done and started to attach the greeblies. A lot of those on this bird. I have almost finished the exhaust nozzles. Got the rear exhaust plates to Alclad in magnesium, I have painted the AIMs white and then they will get a gun metal tip. Then it will be time for weathering and shading.

Cheers

OMGZ, this thing IS a monster! Devil I have finished the painting, touched up with a good brush on the areas where it was hard to get in with the air brush. Nose and tan/black masking's done. Next a gloss coat in prep for the decals.

Bish, your Sh!+hook looks great! Very well doneYes

As for me, I have the bang seat for my Mirage painted and washed. Still need to do some dry brushing.

all colors on the seatr are based off of a walkaround of a French Mirage IIIE that I found online.

This bird is such a marathon to paint. Two hours and I've got the top done and half of the underside. I can't believe I ran out of paint, used up one and a half of Mr.Colour H333. Time to pay a trip to the LHS tomorrow.

I've had a bit of a change of mind. Given that today is the 30th anniversary of the start of the campaign, i thought i would put these pics up now. I am going to get a plate engraved this week, but i won't be able to put that on until next week.

So here's the Chinook finished and mounted.

Thanks for all comments and i look forward to some more great builds.

Bish

That looks like a nice set Azorean. We could do with some more helicopters. I have just had a look at the completed builds, and theres some really nice one there. I hope we can get some late runners in and get some more finished.

Tomorrow is the 30th Annerversary of the start of the war, so we have 75 days left to the end of the GB. So lets see if we can get any straghgerlers rounded up.

I have just finishe dthe Chinook this past week. But i want to get a small plate engraved and fitted before i put any finale photos up.

Casper, good progress on the Harrier. Be nice to see some paint on that.

Looking forward to see th finished model Bish!! hurry up LOL

regards

Jere

ps: Azorean, th box looks realy interestings, thank for sharing

Slowly getting towards painting. Canopy finally attached (the brass sure looks nice but is a total PITA to install on canopy plastic!!!!), cockpit masked off. Just some more greeblies to fit, also completed the vortex generator replacement in brass on the wings.

Cheers

Just out of the oven,

Not perfct but it´s finished. I added some anntenas, som modifcations, clar lenses, static discharges, etc etc....

Seeing the pics I realize that I still have to correct some things, but this is it. The amin was to build a simple model and a rlaxing projct and that is what I have done.

best regards to all

Jeremias

ps: sorry for the pictures qualities, almost non peparation, pooor light and a dirty background LOL

Fuselage almost complete. There were some very nasty gaps whee the intakes join to the fuselage. Lots of Tamiya putty this week!
